Teachers Only Week

So I've decided I think WDW should have a "Teachers Only" week. Where they only let teachers come in. It should be sometime during the summer months when the teachers can come. I feel so bad for teachers that the only times that they can get off are during the times when EVERYONE else can come.

FANTASTIC IDEA! Though the parks would be SUPER crowded.

Wait, can their families go too in your scenario? Cause if only Jason could go, I would be upset!

yay yay I like your thinking Dsoup!

Although, I would like that a lot I would hate if they turned it into an education type thing. I love my job but I would hate to go to Disney & have people talking to me about science lessons or whatever.

Promise not to make me lesson plan, grade papers or classroom manage? Done. I even promise to leave my red pen, whiteboard markers and gold star stickers at home.

I'd be there!!!! yay yay yay

Being an English teacher is no easy task. I work LOTS of extra hours evenings and weekends. I'd be completely off my nut by now (after 24 years) if I didn't have some time to decompress and recharge. But what I do is more rewarding than any 9 to 5 job around. And if I could do WDW without kids? Oh, yes, please!!!

Some schools do go all year round- we don't. But, I still have to work a summer job to pay my bills! haha. I think an all teacher week sounds great, but I think I would never go. Sometimes we teachers are the worst listeners- I think the park would be chaos! lol

I must say another local perk is an occasional feild trip. Every now and then I tag along with my school's band and get in for free. It is not the same as a full day experince, but it is still pretty fun.

I know I am dusting off an old post but we have been saying for years there should be an adults only week. All the characters and all the magic just adults.

This is actually a good idea. Make each park open to only teachers and immediate family for two days of the summer. Example: Monday teachers permitted to DHS, Tuesday AK, Wednesday MK, Thursday Epcot and then again later in the summer. That way Disney still has their normal guests at the other parks, but teachers get a special day with a much leess crowded park. If it became a big enough thing, Disney wouldn't lose much money at all by doing this. I'm sure it'll never happen, but they could do it.

I will not be greedy. One week that's all I ask from them. Do you know many adults would be all over that.

I'm in for a teachers only week although we do Disney a lot during the summer. Now we're in withdrawal because we can only go on weekends sad And you are right about teachers not listening!
