Tinkerbell finally done it

I know it has been awhile since I posted anything and am not sure if I picked the right forum but if I haven't please move me. So after a very long time of wanting my permanent Tinkerbell with an attitude tattoo I finally did it. And for those that may think I have gone over the hedge at my age (67) I haven't. I got it a week ago today and am over the moon. So I was wondering what you all thought of my long awaited Tinkerbell with an attitude tattoo? And for me it is one and done. LOL

She's adorable, and I love the style you had it done in without the black outlines.

Thank you Kristen K...it took me awhile to find the right artist and there was give and take on the size as I wanted no more than 2 inches and the owner said no way not if I wanted to see her face and I gave in to 3 inches. Well when I made the artist he said no way 3 inches needs to be 4 inches which I said not happening. So we went back and forth and settled on 3 1/2 inches from her bottom of her feet to the top of her head and 4 inches to the top of her wings. And because she is 'small' he said can't do the black outline and came up with the blue around her so that her legs and such doesn't wash into my skin tone.

I think it's amazing yay I really like it without the lines, it would look really heavy and blocky with them.

If you love it then anyone who thinks other wise should go ....

I know my mum secretly wanted a tattoo done but she feels too old, so I'm a believer in the it's your life - live it.

Now .... Your next one....... Hehehe

Thank you and yes I think it is amazing as well. And all I do is smile when I look at it. So also agree with what you are saying for those who don't think it is amazing or that I have gone over the edge they can go...... lol And I know what your Mum was saying but I guess because am crazy about Disney that has removed the old in me. LOL

To JoAnn C thanks it is nice to be back...and now my next trip doesn't seem so far away as it is scheduled for December 2017 far but not as far as it was so am getting back in the groove. LOL

JMed thanks that is what I wanted and trust me it is not easy to find a picture of Tinkerbell with an attitude..the artist was amazed. LOL

jtownpluto thanks me too..the artist was truly amazing as that was his idea.

I just want to thank everyone for the very nice comments about my one and only Tinkerbell tattoo with an attitude. It makes me very happy as my post in another site was not so welcomed at first....You would have thought I was or had done something that should have locked me in a room so I can tell you I was very nervous about posting something here.

Love it!! And forgot what other people think; you are an adult who made a decision that seems like you put a lot of time and effort into.

Love it. 67 is still young, so do whatever makes you happy and that's speaking as a guy with 3 Disney tattoos(4 more drawn up and ready to go) and loves them all.

No stigma at all attached to tattoos now. My aunt, 72 just got one. When I got my first tattoo, they were still illegal. I got it at "some guy's" house. In his kitchen while his wife fried chicken cutlets. I just got an addition last week. I had to add my latest grand daughter's name to my arm. If you like it, that's all that matters.

Well not on this board but one of my other sites that am active with there still seems to be a stigma as they were asking why would I do that at my age and that people have to make sure they are covered up when you go to court or work. To which I was surprised of that reaction. Good for your aunt. Wow in some guys house I don't think I could have done that. Lol And I don't like my Tink I love it and I still smile when I look at her.

I have a question for you as this is my first tattoo and you have a few. Smile It will be 3 weeks tomorrow and I noticed that I have 3 little red bumps that don't really bother me but if I touch them they are a little itchy so has that every happened to you? Thanks

That could be a little reaction to the dye; it is commonly seen in reds but could happen with other colors. I would leave them alone as much as possible because if you are still healing, you could pull out the color scratching. Trust me, personal experience. If it still an issue in a couple of weeks maybe get it looked at or if they become pustules or hot around the area.

Thanks for the information and that was what I was wondering. They do get a little itchy but not bad so am leaving it alone and if they are still there in a couple of weeks I will have them checked out. Just don't want to do anything to ruin my tattoo.
