Tomorrowland food rumor: gourmet hot dogs to replace turkey legs

So I saw this rumor on twitter today and thought it was interesting. CMs are saying that the turkey legs in tomorrowland will be replaced with specialty hot dogs -- right now they're saying "taco" dogs, "philly cheesesteak" dogs, and "rueben" dogs.

Not sure how I feel about this, but I wasn't a fan of the turkey legs, so maybe it'll be a good improvement!

Of course, turkey legs will still be available everywhere else in MK, I think.

In the future, we won't NEED turkey legs!

I've never gotten the turkey legs there (though they look good!) - but those hot dogs sound awesome. I usually save my huge turkey leg consumption for Rennaissance Festival Days!

If it's anything like "Award Weiners", which is a counter service/walk up stand that serves gourmet hot dogs at Disney's California Adventure, then it'll definitely be an improvement over the Turkey Leg Cart, which I believe, gets by on reputation alone.

I've never tried the turkey legs, they just don't appeal to me (plus I worry about how well they are cooked and how long they've been sitting there). These hot dogs on the other hand definately sound worth a try.

Is that a back to the future reference?

I'm eager to see some diversification in the quick-service carts. Turkey legs are everywhere. This will be something new, fun, and different. clapping

I know Turkey Legs are a Disney institution but goodnight those things are gross.
I'm not really a hot dog fan either but it does sound interesting..and something that hasn't been done in WDW as of yet.

Given a choice I would definitely choose the gourmet Hot Dogs over the dreaded pink confused turkey legs. No matter how many I have seen come out of the oven on Thanksgiving day NONE have ever been the color of those Disney ostrich legs. laugh

Turkey legs are pink because they're smoked (as smoked pork, et al).

It used to freak me out too, but it's so delicious (smoked meat in general) I got over that whole thing.

As long as I can still get turkey legs elsewhere I'm fine with adding a fancy hot-dog shack.

The turkey legs were on the food network once....apparently they are a best seller! I don't mind them disappearing though...meat on bones grosses me out!

Turkey does make you sleepy... good question. Maybe they're hoping to sell a few more hotel rooms! silly
