Tree of Life Hoax

This is interesting. Apparently in India people are using the AK Tree of Life in one of those "Forward this" emails. Fasicnating:

That's incredible. It makes you want to zoom out on your general belief system and see what could potentially be a similar hoax...

It really has a lot of parallels in a lot of things I've been forwarded at the office.

Amazing to me the crap that floats around the internet that nobody bothers to fact check. (And MOST of my experience comes from my fellow Americans)

We all get that stuff everyday, and whenever I get something claiming to be fact, that is the IMMEDIATE trigger to go look it up and see what the facts are. I'm amazed the number of times I call somebody on something that is forwarded that is damning to someone's reputation or legacy, and they just laugh it off like its no big deal.

Even after they forwarded it to 50 friends, who forwarded it to...etc...

It's simply amazing what people will forward. I think typically if whatever they've been forwarded agrees with their mindset they just send it along. No one seems to worry about their "credibility." Just forward me the funny stuff, not the bs!

Society at large and the Internet would always be benefited if everyone would double-check their facts before they repeat them.
