What are you listening to Right Now?

I love music and I love listening to it while I cruise the internet. Right now I'm listening to some songs posted by a friend on Facebook. She counted down the days to spring by posting music video's. I'm catching up. Right now this is what is playing:

I love Bruce but I'm from Jersey and I think it's the law.

I'm a few years removed from these guys but truth be told I did have a small crush on Nina and don't get me started on Stacy from the top things to do at Disney! My wife won't let me watch that channel anymore when we are down there.

This was my friends choice for today. What a lovely song. Listen to Vera Lynn's voice it is sounds like silk feels.

Ok -while all of this music is great (I love classic rock and the Keith Urban makes me happy too) I am listening to something modern. Heard it on the radio today. I LOVE her voice and the song!

Hi,

Although I have no music videos to share, yesterday before work I listened to the entire *Layla and Other Assorted Love Songs* album (original 2-CD reissue) by Derek and the Dominos, from 1970. I also listened to most of Eddie Money's *Greatest Hits Sound of Money*.

Now playing, as I struggle to wake up from doing a 3:00 pm-1:30 am job swap at work (due to a personal hardship, a woman, who normally works night shift, must work days on Fridays until further notice): Jim Brock: Tropic Affair (Reference Recordings RR-31CD).

I'm old-school. I don't even own an I-pod. I know; shame on me.

Jim

Ha- I've been on a U2 jag since I got back from my spring break trip last week. I heard "One" while shopping at Kroger (!) and now I've dragged the Achtung Baby CD back out. I need to rip it and add it to iTunes. So so so so good.

Gimme Sympathy by Metric, one of my favourite bands.
I've noticed a lot of older music on here. Anyone listen to the new stuff too? Or do you not relate it as much as the old stuff.

Also Sweet Disposition by the Temper Trap

I just love their Christmas albums.
Oh. and Tony has your car show season started yet. It's april 1 and we are being belted by a LARGE snowstorm and I HAD visions of taking the Vette out. Guess that's out of the question sad

Car show season not quite started here yet, althought there are events all year round. In February, I did an 'Arctic Run' for charity with about 80 other cars, a 120 mile drive at night in freezing conditions with the soft-tops DOWN (and the heaters on full). Mad, yep!

Our weather has been quite pleasant the last few weeks, waiting for the spring showers to really get going which will make the event fields nice and boggy for when they are needed.

Sorry, getting off-topic here.

Please be off topic, Tony - that was a great post. I had a convertible prior to acquiring this family o' mine, and loved to put the top down and turn the heat on Smile

JP - do you mean that you're noticing we're posting older stuff? For me, personally, I listen to more new stuff in the country genre (Keith Urban, Kenny Chesney, Zac Brown Band, Allison Krauss) and some contemporary Christian, but not so much in mainstream or pop or rock..even what I do listen to that would be new would be from older artists! like Sting. I also like classical, especially when I'm working. The price I pay for growing older. There was a band on the Today show a while back...I liked their sound, but can't remember their name. They've just put out their sophomore album.
