What are your five favorite things at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa?

There's a lot to like at Disney's Flagship Resort and I'm wondering what your five favorite things are. Leave me a list and let me know what you love most so I can try and include it in my next trip! It can be anything. Tell me where I can find the magic!

This is an easy one for me so I will start.

1. The smell of fresh flowers when you walk through the lobby doors. Mmmm... I love that so much. I am a total sucker for flowers and rarely get them at home so this is one of those things that cements the Grand Floridian in my memory.

2. The stained glass domes in the lobby. They are so elegant and romantic.

3. The Grand Floridian Society Orchestra. I so love me some big band.

4. The Grand Floridian has the most comfortable beds of any Disney Resort I have ever stayed in. I always gte a good nights sleep at the Grand.

5. When I stay here I feel like I am truly in the center of the magic. Perhaps it's how close the Castle looks lit up at night, or because I thrive in the elegant design, or Florida-ness of it all. I wouldn't say that it is my favorite resort, but its damn close.

I've never stayed at the GF but here are some of my favorites...

1. Basin - I love this store and I could spend a fortune in there. I like the intimacy of it compared to the store at Disney Springs

2. The Orchestra and sitting in Mizner's having a glass of wine while listening to them

3. Senses Spa - I'm not much of a spa girl (Joe likes them more than I do laugh ) But I do love going here on occasion. I've had nothing but fantastic experiences there.

4. It's on the monorail loop therefore on the Monorail Crawl!

5. Christmas - I love the gingerbread houses and the tree. That lobby was made for the holidays!

We've only been there resort hopping a few times so our experience is limited. But:

1. The gingerbread house at Christmas!!
2. The general feeling of being someplace incredibly special. the stained glass and elegance is pretty cool. I can i.stone my Mom telling me.over and over "Don't touch anything!!" (But I would anyhow)
3. Gasparilla Grill - just always seems to have a good selection and a good quick services choice
4. The grand staircase and the princess promenade thing - I'd have to imagine the kids feel pretty special. It's fun to see.
5. It's along the monorail! A fun way to take a break from the parks and do some resort hopping.

1. Afternoon Tea
2. Dinner at 1900 Park Fare. The Stepsisters were hilarious
3. The penguin fountain. I'll be honest, I haven't actually seen it in person, but I have seen pictures and I LOVE penguins so I'm counting it laugh

I haven't been there enough to have a top 5, but we just had dinner at Citricos on Friday and were super impressed. I used to feel like the Grand was too stuffy, but both DH and I agree that we feel more comfortable there every time we visit and appreciate the beauty more and more every time we're there.

We've eaten there twice now and enjoyed it both times. Will definitely go back again and someday we'll try Victoria and Albert's.

Top 5
Citrico's
Grand Floridian Cafe
Turn down service for all guests in the hotel
Can walk to The Poly
The Grand Lobby, especially at Christmas with the large tree and gingerbread house

OK - I am replacing my #2 The stained glass domes with TEA! Oh my gosh, Tori and I loved having tea at the Gardenview Tea room. It was amazing.
