What Disney Park Has Given You The Most Bad Experiences?

I guess I should say "not good" experiences as we rarely have too many really awful experiences. But when I think about most of the "less than pleasant" experiences I've had, the vast majority have been in DHS. How about you?

Disney and bad experience are very rarely in the same sentence.

The only thing that sticks in my mind is the first time I went to MK and the first parade I watched. The guy infront of me kept leaning very heavily to one side with his camera as each float came past, getting in the way of my own photo. I'd asked him politely a couple of times to stay standing upright as he was blocking my view (he had a perfect, front row view without leaning), eventually a jab in the ribs got the message across. Not something I would normally do and still wonder if it was the right thing to do then.
There you are, the only bad experience I can remember while at Disney and it wasn't the fault of Disney or any cast member but another guest.

I think the worst experience I've ever had was when we went last year. We ate at San Angel Inn. By the middle of the night I was so sick from the food and the next day I was nauseous the whole day. That was not fun

My worst was when we went for Christmas. Family we went with was horrible. Couldn't decide on what to do and certain few wouldn't let us split up. Super duper crowded... Was just not fun. Didn't like it till me, my dad, Jess and Evan said f*^% it and left them and went to Disney on our own. That was an awesome day.

We went to Epcot one year a few days after Christmas and we only got to ride Mission Space and the Norway ride. Lesson learned never go during a major holiday Smile

Animal Kingdom.
My husband has coined this park as the "really hot and boring" park. Every day I've been there it is always super hot and crowded and the attractions have long wait times.

Nothing in bad in particular has happened there, this park just misses the mark with us.

I'll agree with Tony's first sentence. I would not blame Disney for any bad experiences that we may have ever had. I've been sick, we've had bad weather (rainy, hot & cold) and the parks have really been busy at times, but I do not consider any of those to be Disney's fault. I would say the only bad experience we ever had was get our rooms last June in the Animal Kingom Resort. We checked in before noon and didn't get notified our rooms where ready until around 4 or 4:30 if I remember right. It just felt like for ever! Still, was it because the resorts were packed and people were slow getting out of their rooms or just a slow staff. We still made our ADR's and still had a great vacation.

I ink that's the best way it can be put! Couldn't agree with you more on that statement Mr. H!

This happened to us to last November when we stayed at animal kingdom lodge. I want to say they gave us something to compensate for the delay but I don't remember what it was. Maybe my hubby will be able to help me out.

Since we had to wait... we went down to Mara, and they said our lunch was free and whatever else we wanted was free. So it was a very nice comp. Hard to complain after that.

My worst experience was at Hoop Dee Do (not the place..but coming back from it an angry old man took out his frustrations on us after what I assume had been a long day).

It wasn't really that bad..just annoying! We were coming back on the boat from FW to MK. We had to stand on the boat..but it was no big deal to us. As we were getting off the boat the captain asked for the standing people to get off first and the sitters to wait. We walked off and suddenly a woman, who was sitting, popped up out of her seat and grabbed her son in the seat behind us and said "Sometimes you just have to go for it"..dead to my face. Whatever..I didn't care. So we kept walking and then the woman's father (I am assuming..he was much older but it was just the 3 of them) pushed me out of the way to get up to his family and then yelled at me for cutting off his son. Literally he said "He's just an 8 year old boy..what should we do leave him behind?" Then he proceeded to call me a "real piece of work". Now..please remember these people were sitting and were told NOT to get off the boat til we did. Also, I love kids. I teach 2nd grade I let kids cut me off at least 18283 times a day. I really did not care. I told him to "chill out because he was at Disney World".
He had some choice words for me about my suggestion. Which made Dave very..um..very..angry. It wasn't pretty.
Unfortunately the whole thing kind of tainted my view of Hoop Dee Do.

We've really only had one bad experience and it really wasn't that bad: Hollywood Studios, and the turnstile malfunction back in December.

25 minutes standing at the gate at rope drop while they try and implement a manual park entry process, and watching those lucky few that did manage to get in before the malfunction take off for Toy Story Mania and grab all the FastPasses.

And then when we did get to TSM, since our park tickets were not electronically scanned, the FastPass system would not recognize us as valid guests, so someone had to manually process Fasspasses for all of us as well. OOoo, the time we lost with all that....

I think if that's my only bad experience, I'm doing really, really well.

I'd say DHS has been the most likely to have a less-than-magical experience.

Sadly, I have to say, even though MK is my absolute favorite park, we seem to have the roughest times there. Wait times, angry people on scooters, rude people who don't know how to wait in line for a PhotoPass picture and yes, even grouchy cast members. BUT, it does not ruin my experience.

I have been to WDW so many times, I simply prefer to have people yell at me, than yell at someone who is on his/her first visit. muchlove I just tell myself that I am taking one for the team. awesome

I cant say "most likely" because I'm having trouble coming with one that I've even had.. hmmm..

There was this one time at MK, they have all the walls up where they are doing construction for Belle's castle etc... and my brother and I could have sworn there was something there before but we couldnt remember what. So I asked at CM at one of the merchandise carts. I said, "Excuse me, what was there behind those walls before?" lol.. and she looked at me and said, "do you really want me to tell you?"
um..
lol.. so I guess I looked shocked and I said.. "um, yes?"
she said.. "oh.. just trees"

then she cheered up and went on to tell me what they were going to put there. it was weird! haha

I guess the other place you can have a chance for a bad experience would be on the buses. Sometimes the drivers are not so magical.

Has anyone seen the video of the guy throwing his baby at the bus driver? That poor driver honestly and he just takes it all.

the last time we went to Disney one of the bus drivers let my nephew sit in the drivers seat. We got a few pics, maybe Justcar can find them. Anyways, that bus driver made my nephews day for sure.

That's right I almost forgot, Jack sat in the very backseat with me and we waied until everyone was off so the driver told Jack that he was a gentleman for letting everyone else off first so he got to have his picture taking driving the bus. Jack like any other 4 year old was out of his MIND excited to drive a Disney bus, and I remember trying to get my sister and brother in law to come back to get pics . That driver was SUPER.

Wait, what?? Someone threw a baby at the bus driver?? What is WRONG with people??

As for the question.... my only bad experience was with a trainee bus driver. The guy COULD NOT drive at all and it took us forever to get where we were going. Talk about hard on the breaks and hitting the curbs.... I wonder if he still has a job?? To make matters worse the tape they play while your on the bus of where the bus is going and all that...got stuck and repeated the same bits over and over again for the whole bus ride. It was amusing that by the time they got the tape unstuck it ... the whole bus would say the part word for word laugh

I bet there's a really steep learning curve on driving a bus. I bet they're all awful when they start.

Also, I had forgotten that Epcot gave me food poisoning once. That's going to be hard to top!

I feel like the most stressed I get on Disney vacations is at HS. I don't know why, really. Part of it is that the side of the park with the car show makes me really nauseous, and I guess there just isn't much there that I like to do that much.

I love TOT, RR, TSM, One Man's Dream (I'm a dork) and Fantasmic, but other than that I'm kind of sick of everything else eek Also, there's no good food besides HBD, and I suppose a turkey leg, but that's really not food is it?

TMI, but...as far as worst experience, probably when I got really bad diarrhea at Cali Grill (not a result of Cali Grill, some airport food) and on the way "home" the monorail got stuck. I thought I was going to poop in the monorail, for real.

I think HS was kind of poorly planned..especially Hollywood Blvd..there is only one way in and out..then add the Fantasmic crowds..ov vay..awful! Then the entire other side of the park is completely empty.
