Crystal Palace... Went there for dinner for MNSSHP and the food was cold and starting to congeal. If I hadn't been on the dining plan I would have been pretty peeved at the cost as well.

Ewww... Did you complain?

Really disliked Hollywood and Vine. Buffet was awful and servers standing around and complaining. Tries both breakfast and dinner. Never again. We love O'hana for dinner our first night. Really disliked Italy in EPCOT. The food was cold and bad. Sent it back twice and then gave up. Never again. Mexico food is no better than Taco Bell. Love England.

Awww... which location in Italy was it?

LOL! Your Taco Bell must be MUCH better than mine. yuck Our Taco Bell is really really awful. Granted when we ate at the counter service in Mexico I found it fairly average. My problems with San Angel Inn were primarily service based, not food.

I'd have to say mine was Artist Point. eek confused I know, right? It's not that anything was bad, it's just that nothing really stood out and for 2 meal credits, I'd better be wowed! I had made ADRs for our last night and was considering it to be our "Anniversary" dinner. So I freely admit I had built it up a lot in my head and was anticipating this amazing, romantic meal. Well, we were seated between the entrance and the kitchen right in the middle of the area, NOT a romantic spot at all. While our server was great, really helped my DH with his order as he refuses to eat mushrooms (that's another story), the rest was just....blah. waiting I don't even remember what I ordered for an appetizer. DH had the cheese plate and he really did like that but it was the only stand out of the meal. Entrees - DH had a chicken dish that he liked, but wasn't wowed. I had the Bison Steak, which I did enjoy, but the side was basically brown rice in a fried tortilla-type dish. Very little flavor in it (and I'm one of those people who read reviews of bland food thinking there must be something wrong with the reviewer not the food). Again, I can't remember what I got for dessert, DH got the Berry Cobbler and again, liked it but wasn't blown away. The constant stream of other patrons filing by (since we were near the entrance, they had to walk by us) wearing ripped jeans and ratty t-shirts certainly did not help the experience. Puzzled Ah well, live and learn. Thankfully, this has been our only experience that wasn't amazing and we've never had a truly bad experience anywhere in WDW. awesome

We went to NineDragons in Epcot a few visits ago and I was really disappointed with my meal and the general atmosphere of the place. As ever, I dare say if I had something different to eat my experience might have turned out a little better but we've never gone back to there.

Also, this year we have made the decision not to visit a couple of restaurants that we normally go to. Planet Hollywood at DTD(I know it's not a Disney restaurant) is now off of our list for next year. Although I'm a major movie geek, it's just to noisy to enjoy spending time with the person your with. And my buffalo wings were tough and over cooked. I LOVE BUFFALO WINGS, so huge mark against them. We had a second visit planned in our second week which we cancelled and went back to Paradiso37 which was really, really good.

50s PrimeTime is also off of our list for next year. We both kind of felt that the sparkle was missing on our last visit.

I found Birgarten's food to be way to heavy, a vegetable would have been nice. Loved the atmosphere though. We also had issues at Whispering Canyon. we got seated almost an hour after our ADR. not fun with a 22 month old who was hungry. the food was good, and our server was great, she even packed us up some of the yummy corn bread to go. Neither of these expereiences would prevent me from trying these restaurants again.

I always hate hearing this about signature meals. I had the same boring experience at Citricos. In addition to the boring food, the Chef who was running the pass stared down my dress throughout the meal. Which, though it's always nice to be appreciated, was just plain creepy.

Last time we were at Whispering Canyon we had the same issue, and same experience as you. Waited over an hour. Great server. Great food. Have an ADR for it on the 26th of this month. Just hoping we dont have over an hour wait this time or it will be the last time no matter what.

I know part of it was my fault (getting my hopes up and not requesting a table on the side) but, but, but, it's supposed to be a "signature" experience. Ah well Wink

Hi All!! I'm sadly back from my wonderful trip to the World. sad

It had it's highs and lows, but overall, I can't complain, because I was lucky enough to be in Disney.

I haven't had a chance to do my trip report yet as I've been playing catch up at work! However, I wanted to take a few minutes and tell you all about the horrible experience I had at Fultons. This is my father's favorite place, and he is a hard one to impress. So it had become a must-do for me on every visit. last October (2011) my BF and I had dinner and it good. Our waiter was really great, and it was a good experience. I stress the word good, I too fill signature dining should WOW me, this did not, but I was content.

Last week we went and it was suppose to be this great celebration -- 34th Anniversary for my "in-law's"...

Well, it was far from it.... Fultons is now on the Disney Dining Plan (2 credits) and as I came to find out, was sold off a little over a year ago....And let me tell you, it shows... We all ordered the Filet w/ a lobster tail (the lobster tail was not inlcuded in the plan, it was an out of pocket cost of $27.95 EACH!) we also ordered two sides asparagus and creamed spinisch (sorry for the awful spelling confused )...

I think this picture says it all.....I added the two veggies from the dishes of sides we ordered.....we went through TWO lobster tails each, first broiled then steamed --- they were over cooked both times....the chef who came to our table was scruffy and sloppy... the manager was not apoligitic at all.... it was awful.... out server barley spoke English and not once refilled our water w/o being asked at least twice! Never mind the lemon I asked for....

When we complained about the first lobster tail the only option we were given was a new one..... the second was just as bad, mine was in THREE pieces.... it was gross....I have had a better lobster tail at Ruby Tuesday for goodness sake! We asked if they were frozen and were told no, I find that very hard to believe, a fresh lobster tail does not look like the ones we had!

In the end, we had the lobster tails removed from our bill.....But the experience left an awful taste in mouth.... on the way out, the matri d' asked how our meal was .... i told her it was awful....she had no idea what to say to me, she looked down and walked away! Her manager came over and asked what they could do to make it better, I then asked if Fultons had been sold, he looked at me with his mouth open and slowly said, yes, it was sold off about a year - year and a half ago....i said it shows and we left.....(I know it was sort of snotty, but I was annoyed, it was such a disappointment)....

So Fultons has been removed from my list of Must Do's and have been replaced by California Grill! -- Which WOW'd my polka dot heels right off my feet! biggrin biggrin

So sorry to hear things have not improved at Fultons. We were there in January and felt about the same way. However, neither our food nor our service was bad. It just was not great. There was no WOW to the meal. We were so hoping that it was just growing pains for the new owners.

Whoa, those tails look dry and the creamed spinach looks like it's mostly just cream.

Sorry to hear it was so disappointing.

I am so sorry that you had a horrible dinner and experience. The plate does not look appetizing at all. I think I will stick with Flying Fish.

nikkirugby13 , I'm very sorry to hear this. Fulton's used to be my "Must Do" restaurants too!. It used to be fabulous, but once they started taking the meal plan, everything changed. Not going back now. I have a review on trip adviser.

It seems like DTD restaurants are not living up to WDW standards?? I was not impressed with my meal at Bongo's Cafe. Although we had a very good meal at Fulton's (mind you this was years ago!). I haven't tried any other restaurants around DTD other than the counter service places.

I agree with many others that Chef Mickey's food is okay (as is some of the other AYCE restaurants) but we always go for the characters.

Sad to hear about Fulton's. I haven't eaten there since it was the Empress Lily, I guess it doesn't look like I will try it any time soon. BUT, super psyched about CG. This will be our first time eating there and we're hearing a lot of great things! And, polka-dot heels? You're speaking my language!! laugh laugh

I'll stand by Wolfgang Pucks, we did it as a last minute meal (downstairs table service) and I was blown away by the taste, presentation, and service. Also House of Blues has a new menu that I've heard lovely things about. We don't usua;;y eat a meal there though, so I haven't tried many of the sit down restaurants at Downtown Disney.

welcome ADisneyDad. Sorry you didn't have a good experiance at Teppan. We've been there several time and had good experiences. It's deffinatley not 5 star dinning, but some of the chef's can be a riot! That restaurant, your going more for the show then the food!

I would definitely agree with Kirsten on Pucks, we have dinned there every year(sometimes two visits per trip) and the food is always good and the whole experience is what Disney dinning should be. Back in September I had a steak and it made my list of "Great steaks", the only Disney restuarant on it aswell. I'm a massive carnivore so the list is large but you need to be great to make the list.

nikkirugby13, sorry your lobster was a disaster, I've had a couple like that as well from other restuarants and they are awful.

My worst experience hands down was Whispering Canyon Cafe. It wasn't "bad" by real world standards, but the hype gave us very high expectations that were not met and the food we felt was no better than Chili's or TGIFriday's but with a Disney Price tag. I will say the Sherif Shakes blew us away, but the rest was lackluster.

That said, every other dining experience I've had at Disney has been awesome, save for when I was 13 and went to Cinderella's Royal Table (it might have been called something else back in the day) and was just not old enough to enjoy the fancy food.
