Where to eat on vow renewal day?

As some of you may know, we are renewing our vows later this year while in Orlando! Woo! But now we are looking for somewhere to have a nice meal in the evening, the problem is I am THE fussiest eater ever... Some of it is food intolerances, some cause, well I'm plain fussy

The plan was to head to Ohana, but now I have read that they have gonna and dropped the damn chicken! It was about the only thing I could eat there apart from the noodles. So that is now out of the window. I have been looking online and I've sent Pat an email at the Grand Floridan as last year she helped me to arrange the Intimate Dining Experience so I was hoping she might have some ideas. Pat hasn't got back to me yet but I thought I would ask here too, see if any of the people in the know here have any ideas? We don't want to spend a fortune, we are just having a low key affair and only have about 10 guests including us. I did look at the chefs domain in citricos... Basically Ohana was perfect, set price, lively, fun, yummy, wishes on the beach after..... WHY DID THEY HAVE TO DROP THE CHICKEN?!!!?!!

I can't address any future menu changes over at 'Ohana, but as of last Sunday they still had chicken on the menu. Two kinds - the wings appetizer and the skewered chicken.

Boma has some very nice roasted chicken, a wide selection of salads, and some starchy items like couscous, rice, and maybe noodles (don't recall whether they have noodles). There won't be fireworks from the window, but you could check out the animals after dinner.

I'll have another look at Cali but I believe there's nothing on the menu I will eat Sad thanks for the suggestions!

Jan, the chicken skewers are being taken off the menu Sad

That does not make any sense to me. It limits the ability of a lot of people to eat there.

I wonder if they might offer chicken off the skewers? I really liked the chicken at tappan eddo. After that you could enjoy illuminations. I wish I had better suggestions for places but we are had core red meat eaters so Sy would be happy with our places but not a home run for you. I'm sure any place that sounds good to you, your friends will all enjoy.

If there's a few of you going you might consider the private room at Citricos.
The food there is wonderful and I found the cast members genuinely eager to please.

The only place I heard anything about Ohana's dropping the skewered chicken so far is on the Tikiman's Facebook page. I didn't see anything official from Disney yet. I think they may still serve chicken, just not on skewers.

I had my friend speak to a few wait staff there and they have confirmed that the chicken is coming off the menu and they won't be offering chicken. ADR day is almost here so I'm going to make the ressie and just hope enough people will be upset that they change it back and offer the chicken again. I guess the only other thing I could do would be go and eat the wings and noodles.... But I'm not a huge fan of the dressing on the wings, but I know everyone else would love Ohana... So torn Sad

What about Jiko?

Also, I will be really disappointed if they get rid of the chicken at Ohana! We have reservations for there for our September trip but my baby sis pretty much only eats chicken so we'll have to cancel if the rumors are true. Wah wah! sad

I don't fancy any of the food at jiko Sad love the look of the place though.

I'm praying they see sense and don't drop the chicken Sad

Narcoossees. Love that place! muchlove

You could ask ahead at Cali Grill for chicken - I did that once for a special meal. They were so wonderful! They used to have a spectacular roast chicken there.
