Who has eaten in Be Our Guest?

What did you think? We are definitely planning on a lunch here but still undecided on an ADR for September.

I think we'll have to try BOG for lunch on our next trip, but like you I'm not sure about trying for a dinner ADR. I might put that off for another year or two so maybe the demand will die down a little.

We are definitely going to try for lunch here but I am worried about crowds. The menu looks very interesting for counter service.

We ate dinner there twice the week we visited. If lunch is half as good as dinner then lunch is worth it. The soup was good. They offer french onion on both menus so I assume it is the same. We really recommend the steak. awesome

We had dinner there. The food was really good, especially the French Onion soup, and yes, the steak is super. We sat in the Grand Ballroom and it was noticeably louder, but not obnoxious. Dessert was excellent as well. Definitely get a good look at your surroundings in there... they spared no detail!

We have eaten dinner there twice and both times was great! I recommend the Muscles for the appetizer. awesome The steak was very good. Try the grey stuff, it's delicious!

This thread has made me try for an ADR, but it is too close to our trip, less than a month away. I have tried several times now, for any of our days, without any success.

They are booked solid through June. Now that does not mean they will not have a cancellation.

Lunch at BOG was DELICIOUS! The croque monsieur is fantastic, and I'd suggest splitting a dessert if you are up for it as they are very good too. It was a nicer form of quick service. I was able to go right before New Fantasyland was officially open and had to wait around 30-40 minutes to get in, so now that it is officially open, I would definitely suggest getting in line well ahead of time, especially if you are going during a busy time.
As for dinner if you can get a reservation I'm guessing waiting probably won't be as big of an issue.

We ate dinner right smack in the middle of the ballroom. We LOVED IT!!!! You must do it. The food was amazing...I had the ratatouille. We all got different desserts and shared and they were all amazing. GET THE ADR! silly

Is there any time of day that is best to try to get an ADR from a cancelled reservation?

I would have to say that the BEST time is immediately after someone cancels a reservation. If you happen to be lucky enough.

Yeah good one, I just wondered if there was a time of day that canceled reservations go back up for grabs. Or maybe a time of day that more cancellations are made.

I was told that cancellations take 24 hours to appear? My friend stay at club level recently and that's what they told her

To get the right information, you have to go to the restaurant itself, not the reservation line. Be have been told many times that nothing is available and when we go right to the restaurant we get in. Now Be Our Guest will be a little bit different because they said they are not having many people cancel. When we were there last week, someone walked up trying to get in and they were told they were booked solid through June.

We ate there in November and it was delicious and such a cool atmosphere... Definitely get an ADR if you can

It is a gorgeous place. We were sitting next to that really cool window on our Anniversary, where it was snowing outside. Food was not bad, but we were not all that impressed. The kids menu needs some serious altering. Neither of mine ate their food. I had the steak, it was WAY too peppery for me. Kind of made me sick to my stomach. Glad we tried it. Service was FANTASTIC!

I had dinner at BOG on January 9, 2013 (booked my ADR last August 23rd), and I did see some people who did not have a reservation able to walk-in for dinner (one party of two at least). I must say the presentation was on-point, however my meal (Sauteed Shrimp and Scallops) was a little bland. I'd be willing to go back to try something else, though.

It's located in the New Fantasyland and officially opened December 2012. It is quick service for lunch and table service for dinner and I am looking forward to eating there in October 2013.

Jim I have to say, I don't know if you get the same slang across the pond? But BOG here in the UK is a real yucky slang term for toilet, it brings up lots of images seeing BOG written lol

Since I don't text I have a problem figuring out some of the different abbreviations and sometimes I really have to think when it comes to the Disney abbreviations. It can drive a person crazy at times. Oh well I guess I am just showing my age. laugh

I was looking at menus tonight and noticed "the grey stuff" is now on the dinner menu.

AWESOME. I was scheming on how to imagine a "celebration" so I could get it.
