Will Caribbean Beach and Port Orleans get queen beds?

I know that Coronado Springs was refurbished with queen beds in the standard rooms a few years ago. My guess was that this was because of the convention center there, but as Americans constantly get bigger, I'm wondering if they're going to do the same in the other three moderate resorts soon. Has anyone heard any rumors?

I know when we booked POFQ they had some but you had to pay extra for those rooms. I think it's a money maker for them so I can't see them upgrading at this time.

That's interesting. Paying for queen beds seems ridiculous. Even kings kind of bothers me. They have to have a pretty reasonable distribution of bed types. Doubles don't work very well for 2 kids and kings don't work very well for adults. I guess any place they can make a few more dollars...

Yeah, I think it's a bit nuts but I guess that's how they get people who want a big bed to go for a luxury resort. We were at POFQ and if we wanted a room with a large bed it was more money so we just opted for the room with 2 doubles. I doubt they will change this. I think it's another thing that distinguishes moderate from top resorts.

Good point -- one more reason for people to upgrade to a deluxe. I never thought about it that way!

I'm just glad CSR has the queen beds standard; it's my preferred moderate anyway.

I find it especially strange that the mods charge for king, when we requested king at Pop and got it at no extra charge.

Don't you think they would do the same at the values then, if that's the case?

We're staying at CBR this trip, but I already have my eye on CSR for next time based on the queen beds and the HUGE hot tub. (:
