Wine Bar George at Disney Springs

I'm so excited that Wine Bar George has opened! yay It's going to kill me to have to wait until October to get there and try it out. Everything that I have read makes it's seem like it is totally right up my alley. Great Wines, small plates, cheese and charcuterie. There's a quick service counter called "The Basket" that has grab and go cheese and charcuterie boxes, as well as gourmet sandwiches.

I was reading the menu and discovered they are even doing their own version of my signature cocktail; a lavender French 75, that they are calling an "American 75." They're also using my favorite gin it in (St. George Terroir), and a great California Sparkling wine (Roederer Estate) to make it.

Who else is looking forward to hanging out at George?

The Basket counter sounds like a great idea. Grab a basket and wine and have a picnic.

Right? I love this idea. I'm thinking we may make a stop there on our first night so that we can have some snack boxes to put in the hotel room fridge, or on our way to the airport for a fast last meal "to go." It would be pretty fantastic to grab a picnic basket before heading out to a marina for a pontoon excursion. So many possibilities!

I didn't either! I randomly thought last week that I better check and sure enough, they have them on both Disney's site and Open Table.
