Working With WiFi in the Parks

For those of you who occasionally have to work on vacation, will WiFi in the Parks make you more or less likely to stay connected while you're traveling? Will you be carrying a computer with you in the Parks now?

Wont be carrying a computer with me, but this is going to save my phones battery so much, and I think everyone else will notice that as well. When you use the internet through your carrier... the battery gets eaten up so much, so this is going to be able to save battery for a lot of people.

Me... ill still take my usual iPhone (Should be iPhone 5 when we go), and my iPad because that helps in long lines... even for me... lol.

I remembering uploading a video after doing the Osborne Lights... and over in HS... there isn't much cellular coverage, at least for AT&T. So I ate up about 20% of my battery for a one minute video that took 10 minutes to upload. Thats just nuts. This is going to be great. Great for this site to... because we can do almost instant uploads of our time there.

That's a good point Mase! I didn't even think about that.

I'm sure that there will be a lot more live streaming going on!

Unfortunately, yes, I have to carry a small computer with me with a mobile hot spot. Excited to hear that WiFi is coming to the Magic Kingdom, with the other parks to follow. As self-employed people, we have to respond to our client's needs asap, so there is really no work-free vacations for us. But the trade off is freedom - I would much rather be working from Pecos Bill's than from my office!

I won't be using it to work so much as to use the Disney apps on my iPhone. We recently discontinued our cell phone service on our iPhones and downgraded to a regular old cell phone that just calls and texts (BIG adjustment!) but our iPhones still have all the regular app abilities when it can be connected to WiFi.
