Her name is Siohban. She has gotten considerably bigger (but not less hyper) than that picture.

Zakynthos, Greece. The beach is aparently the most photographed in Greece and the most visited without land access.

I'm not sure of the name, or if it even has a name. It is one of the many waterfalls one can see along the Columbia River gorge outside of Portland, OR.

Allright I'm a little embarrassed. I was about to ask Tony where the middle picture could possibly have been taken from until I figured out it was a model. Right?

Nope, it's not a model. It's Navagio beach on the island of Zakynthos, Greece. There's a small walkway sticking out from the cliffs above that you can take pictures from.

Is that as high as it looks? It looks terrifying.

It's every bit as high as it looks and you have to go right to the end to get the picture of the beach. I'm always glad that the handrail is pretty high, but I won't go out there if it's busy.

Have you been many times? It looks beautiful.

We've been to the island about 5 or 6 times and visited the shipwreck on most of them.
A couple more of the island before you all get bored with it...

Wow! That's great! I'm not even sure where that is. Is it the Hanalei?

That is still on Kauai, but I forgot where exactly that is.

Tony, I'm really enamored with that island. Did you say there's a shipwreck? Sounds like a great vacation.

Zapperz -- you grow orchids?!? Do you have a hothouse, or just a really green thumb?!

Yep, the shipwreck is the one shown back on post#34 of this thread. We can't afford a trip to Florida this year, so will be 'making do' with another trip to Zakynthos instead.

I have thumbs, yes. Smile

I grow my orchids indoors. The phalaenopsis orchids are very easy to grow in such a condition if you have partial or full sun-facing windows. You also need to water it only once a week at most.

This is really a fascinating photo; I would have no idea what I was doing if I found myself in such a location laugh

Also, my apologies for having to settle for the Greek Islands again this year waiting biggrin What a wonderful concession prize!

I submitted this to a photography contest at work, and decided to turn it into a black-and-white photo. I think it looks a lot more interesting in B&W than in color, because it shows the "coldness" of the scenery. I think the forest in this area had a fire a few months before, so the vegetation still hasn't recovered. The B&W photo just emphasized this even more.
