I have seen my share of weird art exhibits in Grant Park before but WTF? Is this social commentary on people walking around asleep to the truth? reality? Or just an ode to bunny slippers?

The sculptures are there permanently (if you look in the background, there's another group without any booties on). It's called the Agora.

The pink slippers were slipped on to this group in honor of Mother's Day (don't ask me why).

I love these peonies outside where my daughter works. I kinda wish I could dig them up and bring them home. LOL

Wonderful shot Colonel! May I ask what lens you used? I'm assuming a macro lens of some sort? The colors and detail are incredible.

The Katsura tree in our backyard lit up at night. I think this is my favourite tree of all.

It took a LOT of shots of nothing, but what I did catch I'm really happy with. I really need to take a class to learn more about this "fancy" camera I bought. The automatic setting is not giving me the results that I want reliably, so I'm really going to have to buckle down and learn my settings. I know I can get the shots with it, I just have to put in a little more effort.

They are! But that beauty is totally a hibiscus. So pretty, and fantastic color. Great picture.

Is it weird that I love pictures of buildings in some state of decay? They have this haunting beauty all their own. I think that's one of the things I love so much about NOLA's French Quarter. I really came to appreciate those qualities while I was there.
