If you're looking for a romantic way to spend a night at Walt Disney World, you need look no further than the magic of the Yacht Club. This upscale resort recalls the romantic formal grace of a New England Yacht Club and a summer on Nantucket.

This space-themed roller coaster, and fan favorite, can be found in all five of Disney's Magic Kingdom-style Parks. All five versions of the attraction have different queues and tracks, but all of them share that famous domed exterior, a space age exterior facade reaching into the sky. After seeing the popularity of the Matterhorn in Disneyland, Walt Disney was convinced that thrill rides had a place in his park and had plans drawn plans drawn up for the Space Mountain attraction.

I know "Jake and the Neverland Pirates" is technically a kids show . . . but there could be some grownup fans lurking out there. If you're one of them, this bit o' news is for you.

The Never Land Pirate Band (a.k.a. the two humans in the otherwise animated show) will be playing at Downtown Disney starting August 3. Folks heading out to catch the band will probably hear songs from the show, including "Roll Up the Map" and "Talk Like a Pirate." Fans can catch Sharkey and Bones on the Downtown Disney Waterside Stage at 2 PM, 3 PM and 5 PM.

Guests who love Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom, a Walt Disney World role-playing game, will love this news: Disney has plans to release a trading card game based on the popular in-park experience next month.

Olympic fever is already starting to sweep the country, and we suspect Walt Disney World won't be immune. Tucked away in the very back of the Mitsukoshi Department Store in Epcot's Japan Pavilion is a subtle little bar that's set up for sake tasting. Sake is an alcoholic beverage that's made with fermented rice, and often referred to as "rice wine" even though the process of it's creation is much closer to that of a beer. Sake frequently has an alcohol content between 28%-20%, so it packs a little more punch than your typical beer or wine.

A popular guest experience in Disney's Animal Kingdom park is being linked to "several dozen" cases of guest illness. Several guests have reported an abdominal-based sickness after taking part in the Wild Africa Trek tour during June and July.

Dan Weister, a spokesperson for the Orange County Health Department, said the illness "appears to be some kind of stomach bug." The source of the illness hasn't been found, and Weister says: "It could be food-borne, it could be water-borne, it could be something that's passed on person-to-person, it could be something that's picked up by surface."

Though many guests coming to Walt Disney World and staying on property opt to use Disney's Magical Express for their transportation needs, sometimes it's easier and more convenient to hire a car and take a limo. I am a particular fan of using town cars for my transportation needs when a bus just doesn't cut it.

Just a few days ago, we reported on a rumor that evening Extra Magic Hours at Walt Disney World parks could be shortened. Now, it's looking like that rumor is more of a reality.

The Walt Disney World website has updated its statement regarding Extra Magic Hours to read:

A Walt Disney World Vacation is a great thing no matter what time of year it is, but when the holidays come around it's even more magical. This year the holiday season begins on November 9th with decorations and activities starting all across the property.
