The summer is flying by and I, along with many of our readers, are looking forward to the fantastic Epcot International Food and Wine Festival! This year is shaping up to be an exciting event with dates ranging from September 28-November 12, 2012. Growing in popularity every year this special event is a must do for anyone who lives to eat. Spectacular arrays of flavors from around the world are showcased in kiosks located around the 1.2 mile World Showcase promenade.

Disney To Sponsor Turtles in Marathon

Guests at Disney's Vero Beach Resort, a Disney property some two hours from Walt Disney World, will be cheering on two loggerhead sea turtles in the Turtles Migration Marathon. On July 28, Peach and Pearl will make a return to the Atlantic Ocean and join twelve other turtles in the annual "Tours de Turtles: A Sea Migration Marathon."

Epcot United Kingdom Pavilion's British Revolution

Since May 2011 the new group, 'British Revolution' has been entertaining guests with the "greatest hits" of British artists from the 70s, 80s and 90s. They've gone through a couple of name changes while finding their footing, but the one thing that hasn't changed is that they play some truly great music. These versatile musicians cover variety of rock styles that get the crowd up on their feet dancing.

Fewer Evening Extra Magic Hours?

Could there be fewer evening Extra Magic Hours on the horizon? A buzz surrounding Walt Disney World says there could be. Rumor has it the evening Extra Magic Hours will be reduced from three to two starting January 1, 2013.

Guests staying at Walt Disney World resorts can take advantage of Extra Magic Hours, a time when select parks are open before or after public operating times - usually one hour in the mornings and three hours in the evenings.

Dad Blocks Sick Girl's Dream Disney World Make-A-Wish Trip

McKenna May, a four-year-old from Ohio who was diagnosed with leukemia in 2010, will not be getting a trip to Walt Disney World via the Make-A-Wish foundation. The reason? Her father has refused to sign off on the vacation, and Make-A-Wish rules state two parents must sign for a minor's trip.

According to Make-A-Wish, the two-parent signature rule is in place so the organization won't find itself in the middle of a custody battle or family issue.
