Sunday Round-Up for January 9, 2011

For our second Round-Up of the new year I thought we'd start with some great posts about the other Disney parks around the world. Reading a blog post about them may be as close as I ever get to going so let's take a look at some offerings.

Theme Park Tourist has a review of the Toy Story Playland in Disneyland Paris. Lots of video and pictures make me feel all French-y!

New "Pirates" Trailer Debuted To Serious Fans

December 13 was a lucky day for some serious "Pirates of the Caribbean" fans. Disney debuted the trailer to the upcoming fourth installment of that movie franchise to a special, invite-only audience at the California Downtown Disney that day.

Wanting to give fans a chance for the ultimate first look at Captain Jack's continuing adventures, Disney had a few ways people could score an invitation to the debut including liking a Facebook page, registering online or calling a local California radio station.

"Ever After": A New Disney Wedding Blog

Earlier this month, brides and grooms planning nuptuials at a Disney local got a bit of an early Christmas present in the form of a wedding-specific blog. Disney Weddings launched their appropriately named "Ever After" blog December 1st.

Features are to include highlights of real couples and Wedding Cake Wednesdays. Through cyberspace, brides and grooms all over the globe can connect and be inspired by the magic that is Disney to help make their big day also their most wondrous.

Mickey's Toontown Fair's Last Day Is In February 2011

If you want to visit the Magic Kingdom before Mickey's Toontown Fair closes, you'd better start planning soon. That particular area of the park is set to be closed on February 11, 2011, as part of the ongoing Fantasyland expansion.

This isn't exactly shocking news as Disney had announced plans to "repurpose" Goofy's Barnstormer when the first news of the expansion hit. However, it is a bit of sad news as the Fair has become a fixture at the kingdom and is a popular stop among the character-seeking set.

Epcot's Lucky Owl

Japan's Mitsukoshi department store in Epcot's World Showcase is one of our favorite places to wander, and every once in a while I find something I can't help but show you here on WDWFG. Today -- it's the lucky owls.
