Epic Mickey: Over 1 Million Sold

December turned out to be a very good month for Disney's Epic Mickey game. According to the NPD group who keeps track of these sorts of things, the lovable mouse helped propel sales of the game to the 1.3 million mark which made it land among the best-selling games for the month. These numbers are nothing to sneeze at, especially since Epic Mickey was released for the Wii gaming system only.

New Star Tours Attraction Debuts in May

It's been a long, nine month hiatus, but we can finally see the light sabre at the end of the tunnel. Amid the flourish and festivities that surrounded the official debut of the ship the Disney Dream, Disney let fans know that the popular Star Tours will be back in action May 20 at Disney's Hollywood Studios.

Star Tours: The Adventure Continues has received a complete overhaul during its time out of commission. Guests will have a completely new experience with this revamped and reimagined 3D adventure that includes a new pilot, new droids and new excursions into space.

Imagineering Disney has a great post on World Showcase, then and now. As much as I don't like many of the changes that come to WDW, it's interesting to see how little has changed in many places.

Is Johnny Depp the Next Oz?

They have a director on board plus a unit production manager, but the question these days seems to be who will play the great wizard in Disney's Oz, the Great and Powerful. Robert Downey, Jr., was slated to play the lead, but has reportedly backed out of the production.
