Photo Tour: AquaDuck on the Disney Dream

A friend of ours just returned from a cruise on the brand new Disney Dream cruise ship and sent over this great review of the AquaDuck -- the cruise industry's first water coaster on a ship!

Thanks to WDWFG for the chance to rave about this incredible water coaster. The AquaDuck may seem like a kids' ride to some, but I was surprised to note that the concept was terrifying to many. Not a lot of folks want to hang out above the ocean with only a thin piece of plastic between them and an 150 foot drop!

Snow White Attraction to Close as Fantasyland Expands

While Fantasyland in Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom seems to be a number one destination for the eight-and-under set, we know there are some grown ups out there who aren't opposed to spending some time with Dumbo, Pooh and Snow White. For those of you who fit that description, we thought we'd recap the latest news of the ongoing Fantasyland expansion.

Disney Interactive Faces Reorganization and Lays Off 200

In a move that, according to those in the know, appeared almost expected, Disney Interactive Media Group trimmed their staff of some 200 employees this past Monday. Also a casualty of the company's vast restructuring of its digital media was Propaganda Games, the Vancouver-based development company responsible for the Tron:Evolution game.

Original Magic Kingdom attractions

Have you ever wondered about what it was like on opening day of the Magic Kingdom? How magical it would have been! What was there back then?

The Magic Kingdom today is a very different place from what it was 40 years ago when Walt Disney World first opened (can you believe it's been 40 years?!).

Disney Nabs Thirteen Academy Award Nominations

Earlier this week, the Oscar nominations were revealed with Disney coming in with a not-too-shabby total of thirteen nods.

It may come as no surprise Disney Pixar's Toy Story 3 leads Disney's nominations with five including Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Original Song, a nomination in the Sound Editing field, Best Animated Feature and, arguably the top prize, Best Picture.
