Breakfast With Character At The Garden Grill

Want to start off your day with a hearty breakfast at Epcot? How about a breakfast that is all you care to eat (served family style), has great character interaction, AND rotates? Then itis time to head on over to the Garden Grill located in the Land pavilion. Chip and Dale's Harvest Feast features a delicious variety of breakfast foods, beverages, and even a visit from the hosts themselves! On most days you can expect to have Chip, Dale, Pluto and Farmer Mickey drop by your table (usually more than once). As mentioned above, the restaurant does rotate, however, it moves slow enough that it's hardly noticeable. As it rotates, you see different scenes from the Living with the Land attraction located below. Side note: Living with the Land is a nice way to relax and digest after your meal.

Now onto the food! We have been to dinner on numerous occasions here at the Garden Grill, all of which have been nothing but delicious. This was our first time going for breakfast, and, Iim happy to say, it did not disappoint! Those Chipmunks sure do know how to prepare a feast! Our ADR (advance dining reservation) was for 8:40am. That meant early entry into Epcot since the park didnit officially open until 9:00am. Great photo opportunities! We were seated promptly, had our drink orders taken, and our food started arriving in no time.

We started off with coffee and (my favourite) passion orange guava juice. Then we were served the fruit salad and the house specialty, Chipis Sticky Bun Bake. The sticky bun bake was warm and amazing. Probably my favourite part of the breakfast. It is also a pretty big size (not that Iim complaining!). Next up was a platter containing scrambled eggs, bacon, ham, home styled potato barrels (better known as Tater Tots) and every Disney fans favourite, Mickey waffles. The waffles were served with a warm chocolate-hazelnut sauce instead of syrup. We enjoyed everything. The eggs were fluffy, bacon crispy, and that chocolate-hazelnut sauce? YUM! Buttermilk biscuits with sausage gravy were served as well to round out the meal (and our bellies).

We really enjoyed breakfast at the Garden Grill and would not hesitate to return. It was a lot of food, especially since there were only two of us, so go hungry! The food came out quickly so we pretty much had everything on the table at once. There were also a lot of empty tables (possibly due to the early time and the fact that the 10K for marathon weekend was just ending) so the characters came around multiple times.

Breakfast hours are 8:00AM-10:30AM. Advance dining reservations are recommended. Price is around $29.99 for adults and $17.99 for children ages 3-9 (prices may change seasonally). The Disney Dining Plan charges 1 Table Service Credit for this meal, and Tables in Wonderland is accepted.

The giant sticky bun looks so delish - I'm still considering stopping here when I'm there in May.

I have eaten here before for dinner, food was great and we really enjoyed the character interaction. My youngest son was 9 months old at the time and I have a picture of him trying to suck on Mickey's nose. The last 2 times we hace gone to Disney we have not been able to go, but will be there in June and we have breakfast reservations! Can't wait! Counting down the days!

I missed this article when it came out. Great job Erica and I agree - the breakfast was delicious. I would go back and did I mention that Chip and Dale were my favourite Disney characters?
