Chocolate Martinis and Gingerbread Men At The Outer Rim

Before heading to the Outer Rim, be sure to pick up some delicious holiday treats from the annual Holiday Gingerbread display shop, or at the sweet shop in the Contemporary's Bay View Gifts (BVG). My daughter and I chose classic Mouseketeer Cookies fro BVG one in sugar cookie, and the other in gingerbread.

Both of these cookies are full of cuteness, but my daughter and I thought that there was a clear winner when it came to flavor. The sugar cookie was rather bland, it had a shortbread-like texture but it just fell rather flat in the flavor department not standing up well as either a sugar cookie or a shortbread cookie. The gingerbread cookie however was a real standout. You can find these little guys year round at Walt Disney World bake shops, and I recommend you add them to your holiday treats list.

After picking up your sweets, find a seat in the Outer Rim Lounge and order up a cocktail to sip while you relax and enjoy a little down time. If you're wondering what you should pair with gingerbread I suggest you go for the Godiva Chocolate Martini.

This cocktail packs a punch with Godiva Chocolate Liquer, Stoli Vanil Vodka, Bols White Creme de Cacao, and Frangelico. Yet - it still manages to be full of delicious chocolatey flavors. I thought that the Godiva Chocolate Martini had a really nice balance without an overly alcoholic burn. It paired nicely with the gingerbread and the flavors stood up to each other well. My daughter however, who prefers her drinks super sweet and fruity was not as impressed.
