Disney and the Toys for Tots Foundation

Toys for Tots has been around since 1947 and has served tens of thousands of children in need over the last 64 years. In 1948, Walt Disney and his animators designed a logo for Toys for Tots that is still used to this day. This magical team designed the first poster used and distributed to promote awareness of the foundation.

It's no wonder that since then the Disney Company has continued to support the foundation in many ways including donations, cast member toy drives, and public service announcements. In recent years Epcot has been the centerpiece of this drive with its "Cuddliest Christmas Tree". The twenty foot tree, made of 1,200 Holiday Duffys. These Duffy Bears were donated to the central Florida chapter of Toys for Tots.

The annual toy drive orchestrated by Disney VoluntEARS is one of many charitable activities underway at Walt Disney World during the "Season of Sharing." Cast Members participate in many programs with a focus on improving the lives of local children and their families during the holidays and beyond. During its more than 60-year history with the Toys for Tots campaign The Walt Disney Company has helped change the lives of more than 188 million children and young people.
