Fan Favorite Dining Options To Reopen At Walt Disney World Resort

Special and unique Disney Dining is an important part of a Walt Disney World vacation. Over the course of the past year some true fan favorite buffets have been shuttered do to COVID-19 restrictions, but I'm happy to announce that the Summer of 2021 is showing up to bring back some sensational dining options. So just which restaurants are scheduled to start serving? Read on and find out!

Chef Mickey's at Disney's Contemporary Resort

Starting May 16, Chef Mickey's will offer an all-you-care-to-enjoy family-style dinner that will include "no touch" appearances like snapping a selfie or waving hello as Mickey Mouse and some of his favorite pals make surprising appearances in each of the dining rooms. Dinner will include starters of "Chef Mickey's Caesar," citrus-poached shrimp salad, and assorted breads; main courses of gnocchi, roasted garlic potato Gratin, plant-based faro wheat fried rice, prime rib, roasted turkey, and salmon; and an assortment of sweets to top off the meal. Little ones in your family can enjoy kids comfort favorites such as mac and cheese, chicken nuggets, and turkey corn dog nugget.

Cape May Cafe at Disney's Beach Club Resort

On May 18th the seaside culinary traditions of New England will be dished up at the cape May Cafe. While the restaurant will serve breakfast and dinner, but Minnie's Beach Bash Character Breakfast and the Seafood-and-More Dinner Buffet will NOT return at reopening.

Breakfast will be served in an all-you-care-to enjoy family-style setting with popular staples like pastries (including the layered crispy, cream-filled "Lobster Tail"), omelets, and Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse waffles. The dinner menu will include a seafood boil with a variety of fresh seafood, or the Turf Platter with steak and chicken, or a warm and indulgent lobster mac and cheese.

Tusker House at Disney's Animal Kingdom

This fan favorite will reemerge later this summer with a modified Character Dining experience. The menu will include family-style entrees inspired by the flavors of Africa, and guests can snap pictures as Donald Duck and friends, dressed in their safari best promenade through the restaurant.
