The FREE MyDisneyExperience App Helps Keep Your Travel Plans On Hand

As we recently mentioned Guests who have planned their vacations ahead of time using the MyDisneyExperience website can keep all of the information in the palm of their hands with the free synchronized MyDisneyExperience Mobile App. There are many mobile vacation planners on the market that we've reviewed in the past, but only the MyDisneyExperience app is free to use and interfaces with the the entire MyMagic+ program.

The handy app, available for iPhone, iPad and smartphones for Android, travels with the guest right to the parks on their smart phone or tablet, and allows for access to all the plans they made at home and make changes on the go. High resolution photography, graphics and easily navigable lists guide users through their vacation plans. Availability is subject to handset features that vary depending on the cell phone. Use is subject to message, data and roaming rates from each guests wireless service plan, however complimentary Wi-Fi is available throughout the Parks and Resorts of Walt Disney World.

I'm not going to tell you that this app will interact seamlessly with all of your reservations, the complete system is still very new and Disney continues to work out some of the kinks. However, things get a little better with it every week. As with all of the new MyMagic+ technology, there's a learning curve for both guests and cast members. The Walt Disney World for Grown-Ups forum members that have had trouble, report friendly cast members have been more than willing to work to resolve all issues that have been encountered. It's a good idea to set up your MyDisneyExperience website and download the app well ahead of your vacation so that you can take some time to become familiar with using its the features.

I used the app during our last trip and found it a little frustrating. You're right, Kristen, there are some bugs to work out yet. I'll keep trying as it should be a super feature if it works as designed!

I wish the planning system worked more than 6 months ahead. I always plan more than six months out so I'm ready when I can make reservations. Planning Disney is most of the fun.
