Spotlight on Tiffins at Disney's Animal Kingdom

Nestled amongst the trees on Discovery Island at Disney's Animal Kingdom on the way to Pandora: World of Avatar sits the Park's matchless signature dining experience, Tiffins. This elegant outpost for adventurers is not only a showcase for world flavors, but dedicated to the unique vision of the Imagineers that created the Park. Atmosphere

Celebrating the adventurous spirit of world travelers and explorers, Tiffins offers a polished atmosphere in the middle of Disney's Animal Kingdom. Rich woods, leather-bound menus, and artworks gather together putting diners in a comfortable, yet stylish location. As a signature dining experience the restaurant is more upscale an elegant than your typical Theme Park eatery, and has a price tag to match. I should note that is also has a recommended dress code to maintain the feeling of the space.

Vibrant Art Galleries

The interior of this beautiful restaurant is a collection of art and artifacts that went into creating Disney's Animal Kingdom, and vibrant art galleries set the stage for your dining experience. Two of the three galleries (aka dining rooms) focus on Asia and Africa, with the third paying homage to animal species found in the Park and the Disney Conservation Fund. The 252-seat restaurant certainly has more than enough visual interest to spark mealtime conversation.

Take your time and explore the pieces of art as you journey through the creative process of bringing this extraordinary Park to life. You'll be able to see how sketches and field notes became familiar vignettes in Animal Kingdom attractions. Imagineering geeks will also recognize notes and images from some of their favorite creators. An Exotic Menu

Tiffin's elegant menu is inspired by exotic world cultures. Guests will find tastes inspired by Europe, Africa, Asia, and the Americas; and those with a bold palate will enjoy it most. Main courses include choice cuts of Waygu beef, sustainable fish, and unique vegetarian options all presented with refined sides. Desserts manage to bring all of the luscious flavor while still being light. A seasonal focus here means that the menu changes with some regularity, allowing the Chefs to play with the very finest ingredients. Overall reviews of Tiffins have been mixed, but I really enjoyed my experience and find the restaurant to be one of the most underrated on property.

Nomad Lounge Patio

The Nomad Lounge is a world travel inspired full service bar connected to Tiffins. It also is home to one of my very favorite spots in all of Animal Kingdom, the patio. A comfortable wooden deck wraps around a portion of the building overlooking the river and bridge into Pandora. The shady spot always seems quiet to me, and the comfortable seating offers a cozy spot to escape and have a drink or a snack. When it's not overly windy, the covered lounge patio can be an amazing spot to relax as you let an afternoon storm go by. I should probably mention that the exclusive cocktails at Nomad Lounge are pretty top notch, and the small plate menu comes out of the Tiffins signature kitchen.

The interior of the Nomad Lounge is pretty fantastic too, especially if you dig that look of classic world travel. Disney Imagineers wanted to make sure that guests were include in the story telling of this lounge for nomads. For a donation to the conservation fund, guests can fill out a travel tag with their own adventurers story to hang in the lounge.

Rivers of Light Dining Package

What can top an exotic meal at one of Walt Disney World's fine dining locations? How about premium seating to the Rivers of Light nighttime show under the stars! Enjoy your choice of appetizer, entree, dessert and non-alcoholic beverage for either lunch or dinner at Tiffins. The single price of this option allows Guests to better plan their food budgets, while still offering the perk of premium seating for the show. While at the restaurant you will receive your seating time for the Rivers of Light later that evening.
