The Top 5 Cookies at Walt Disney World

I have to admit something: cookies are my weakness. Chocolate chip cookies, peanut butter cookies, oatmeal cookies, Snickerdoodles...and yes, even Oreos. I love cookies - preferably with a tall glass of cold milk. And some of my favorite cookies of all time are found at the Walt Disney World Resort!

Cookies might not be at the top of your snack list when you're visiting Disney World, but trust me: there are some delicious cookies just waiting for you! Today we'll check out my top 5 favorites. And if you have a favorite that didn't make my list, leave a comment!

Grab a glass of ice cold milk and let's dive in to the top 5 cookies at Walt Disney World.

5. Caramel Apple Oatmeal Cookie: You'll find this beauty at Karamell-Kuche in Epcot's Germany pavilion. While a bag of fresh caramel corn is always a MUST when visiting, this cookie is also a can't-miss treat. Sure it doesn't look like much - just an oatmeal cookie topped with Werther's caramel, but hidden inside the cookie are chunks of apples that take this beyond your standard oatmeal cookie.

4. Magic Cookie Bar: You'll find this must-have cookie at two spots in Disney World: Roaring Fork at Disney's Wilderness Lodge and at Disney's Port Orleans Riverside. That's it. If you aren't staying at either of those resorts I suggest make a stop to get this Magic Cookie Bar because it really IS magical. It's basically a seven-layer bar that includes butterscotch chips, coconut, chocolate chips, and more. If you love it, you can even make it at home!

3. Chocolate Chip Cookie Ice Cream Sandwich:
This cookie favorite includes ice cream (my other favorite snack), and that just makes it even more delicious! Is there really anything better than two homemade chocolate chip cookies with your choice of ice cream in between? You'll find this yummy treat at the Plaza Ice Cream Parlor in the Magic Kingdom and while you can choose your favorite ice cream flavor, I strongly recommend ordering it with chocolate ice cream with a side of peanut butter topping to drizzle over the top. But that's just my personal favorite.

2. Macarons: I recently discovered the macaron and honestly I can't get enough of these gorgeous and really delicious cookies. You'll find a couple varieties at Epcot including a portable box of macrons at Les Halles in the France pavilion. If you aren't familiar with macarons they are crispy on the outside, delightfully chewy on the inside meringue-like cookies filled with a stiff ganache.

They're pretty to look at and delicious to snack on. If you like cookies with your ice cream (we've established that I do), you'll want to head over to L'Artisans des Glaces in the France pavilion and order a macaron ice cream sandwich. You'll find seasonal and holiday flavors throughout the year in addition to a chocolate macaron ice cream sandwich (my favorite).

1. Carrot Cake Cookie:
And now we've come to my all-time favorite cookie at Walt Disney World - the famous Carrot Cake Cookie. It should be noted that I will not eat carrot cake unless it is in cookie form at Disney World. That is how special this cookie is. ;-) You'll find this must-have snack (or breakfast item) at Sweet Spells in Disney's Hollywood Studios.

The cookie is more of a cake consistency and it is filled with so much cream cheese icing! This cookie is HUGE, which means it IS big enough to share or just snack on for a while as you walk through the park. It also makes a great breakfast item paired with ice cold milk or even coffee. If you aren't a fan of raisins you should know that the cookie is filled with golden raisins.
