Top 5 Peanut Butter Treats at Walt Disney World

Did you know that tomorrow, March 1, is National Peanut Butter Lover's Day? It's true. Apparently someone needed a good excuse to indulge in peanut butter and they created a "national holiday" for the nutty treat. There's even a website dedicated to it.

Not that we need a day to celebrate all things peanut butter. After all, it is the most amazing thing ever. It doesn't matter if you're eating it on a sandwich or just spooning it out of the jar, peanut butter rules.

And the Walt Disney World Resort is home to some of the most delicious peanut butter treats out there! So today, in honor of tomorrow's "holiday" we'll take a look at the top 5 peanut butter treats at Disney World.

5. Warm Peanut Butter Brownie: This incredible brownie can be found at Sunshine Seasons in The Land pavilion at Epcot. The brownie batter is swirled with peanut butter and there's a thick ribbon of peanut butter inside the brownie. And, if that's not enough, it's topped with a caramel sauce that brings it all together. This brownie is decadent and delicious, and it might also be a seasonal treat so don't be too disappointed if you can't find it right now.

4. PB&J Shake: We love the 50s Prime Time Cafe at Disney's Hollywood Studios! And if you're planning on enjoying lunch or dinner at this table service spot you'll want to save room for this unique milkshake. The milkshake has a vanilla ice cream base and it really is made with peanut butter and jelly, but usually the peanut butter flavor comes through stronger. Just remember to keep your elbows off the table as you enjoy this shake!

And if you want to make it at home check out this recipe from our friends at the Disney Food Blog!

3. All-American Sundae: There's nothing better than a sundae topped with peanut butter sauce and the All-American Sundae from the Plaza Ice Cream Parlor at the Magic Kingdom is practically perfect. This sundae is made with hand-scooped vanilla and chocolate ice cream (but you can request any of the flavors available!) and it's topped with hot fudge, peanut butter sauce, whipped cream, chocolate and peanut butter chips, and a cherry.

This is our favorite sundae at the Plaza Ice Cream Parlor. If you're a fan of peanut butter and ice cream you'll want to add it to your Disney food list!

2. Ice Cream Sandwich: The homemade ice cream sandwich from the Plaza Ice Cream Parlor has long been a favorite of ours, but when we saw this new creation in the Disney Food Blog's #OnTheList series we knew we were in love. Imagine this: two chocolate chip cookies with chocolate ice cream in the middle (of course you can choose another flavor, but chocolate and peanut butter are meant to be together). And then you order a side of peanut butter sauce and drizzle it over the cookies and ice cream. Best. Ice Cream Sandwich. EVER.

1. No Way Jose: The No Way Jose from Beaches and Cream is the granddaddy of all peanut butter sundaes at Walt Disney World. This behemoth of a sundae is made with vanilla and chocolate ice cream, hot fudge, peanut butter sauce, whipped cream, peanut butter and chocolate chips, and a cherry. And here's a tip for all the peanut butter lovers out there: order an extra side dish of peanut butter sauce. You can thank us later.
