Top of the World Lounge

The Top of the World Lounge is a special gem reserved for Disney Vacation Club Members and their guests staying at Disney's Contemporary Resort's Bay Lake Tower. High up on the on the 16th floor of the tower, this retro-modern retreat offers 77 seats and a full service bar overlooking the Magic Kingdom. To access the lounge you must check in at the reception desk on the ground floor, space is limited and can fill up for fireworks viewing, so be sure to arrive early. If there's room available, you can take the express elevator straight up to the top.

Decorated in chic the comfortable chairs that are grouped for talking the night away, the decor here is reminiscent of the Rat Pack's Las Vegas. You and your exclusive crew are welcome to nosh on offerings from the bar menu and sip a Blue-Glowtinis as you await the most amazing viewing of the Magic Kingdom fireworks in this posh local. If the infamous Blue Glowtini is not your style, you can always try one of the Top of the World Signature Cocktails such as the Bay Lake Sunset, Monorail Yellow or the Tip Top Colada.

Hanging on the walls of the lounge is the stylish vintage Disney concept art, with a stunning Disneyland monorail mural behind the bar; a glowing sculptural chandelier serves as the center of the room's focal point. The top-notch staff is friendly and welcoming to the guests who receive exceptional service.

Outside the fashionable glass walls of the lounge is a breezy sky deck capable of hold 499 and designed as the perfect vantage point for viewing the Magic Kingdom's fireworks.

The Top of the World Lounge is open from 5PM until Midnight, but remember, it's an exclusive perk for Bay Lake Tower DVC Members and their guests. I hope next time I'm down in the world, someone I know is staying there and invites me back to this spectacular lounge.
