Walt Disney Parks and Resorts Welcome New Disney Ambassadors

For 50 years the Disney Ambassador Program has been a tradition within the Walt Disney Parks and Resorts.

The first Disney Ambassador, Julie Reihm Casaletto, was hand-picked by Walt Disney and introduced during the 10th anniversary of Disneyland. The ambassadors represent the theme parks in their community and around the world, in addition to hosting VIP guests.

Recently the 2015-2016 Disney Ambassadors were announced at Disneyland and Walt Disney World.

During a ceremony at Sleeping Beauty Castle in Disneyland, Casaletto was joined by more than 50 former Ambassadors as they welcomed the new Disneyland Resort Ambassadors, Jessica Bernard and Allie Kawamoto.

The Walt Disney World Resort Ambassadors are Caitlin Busscher and Nathaniel Palma and they will represent nearly 70,000 Central Florida cast members in their role.

Ambassadors were also announced for Hong Kong Disneyland Resort, Tokyo Disney Resort, and Disneyland Paris.

The ambassador at Tokyo Disney is the first chosen for that park and will serve a two-year term. Later this year Shanghai Disney Resort and Aulani will name their ambassadors.

I think that the Ambassadors program is a fantastic opportunity for these young people. What an exciting job!
