The Disney Parks Blog recently celebrated its fifth anniversary and as part of the celebration offered readers a chance to win a prize.

The blog posts daily stories about the Walt Disney World Resort, Disneyland Resort, Disney Cruise Line, Adventures by Disney, Disney Vacation Club, and more.

The Disney Parks Blog has also hosted quite a few Disney Parks Blog meet-ups in the last couple of years where fans had a chance to attend special events, private viewings, and other activities.

Hoop Dee Doo Musical Revue Celebrated 40th Anniversary this Month

The Hoop Dee Doo Musical Revue is one of the longest-running dinner shows in America, and it recently celebrated its 40th anniversary.

The show got its start in the summer of 1974 as part of the Disney World Fine Arts College Workshop program. After a summer of performances Walt Disney World decided to hire a permanent cast and the show opened on September 5, 1974.

‘Walt Disney’ to Premiere on ‘American Experience’ on PBS in 2015

PBS has announced a new four-hour, two-night film exploring the life and legacy of Walt Disney.

The film, Walt Disney, will premiere in 2015 on American Experience.

Walt Disney is being produced and directed by Sarah Colt (Henry Ford, RFK) and was written by Mark Zwonitzer (JFK, Triangle Fire).

Tickets for the General Public On Sale Now for D23 Disney Fanniversary Celebration

D23's Fanniversary Celebration kicks off August 9 in Burbank, and the general public can now purchase tickets for the event.

The D23 Fanniversy Celebration Presented by Walt Disney Records The Legacy Collection commemorates Disney milestones and landmark anniversaries from this year.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios Celebrating Silver Anniversary on May 1

May 1 marks the 25th anniversary of Disney's Hollywood Studios and there are a couple special events planned for the day.

The silver anniversary celebration kicks off at 10 a.m. with a special rededication ceremony. Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse will be in attendance along with Disney's Hollywood Studios Vice President Dan Cockerell.

The ceremony will honor some of the 25-year cast members at the park.

Thirty Disney VoluntEARS to Participate in Disney’s First-Ever Global Service Project

For the last three decades, Disney's VoluntEARS have been giving their time to benefit local communities and part of the 30th anniversary celebration of the program, 30 Disney employees are prepping for a once-in-a-lifetime adventure.

The employees are headed to Ecuador for Disney's first Global Service Project. While in Ecuador the VoluntEARS will help build a classroom and improve access to education for students.
