Hollywood Studios Character Meet-and-Greets Delayed

Last month, we told you about new character meet-and-greets coming to Hollywood Studios. We've recently learned a couple of those character greeting opportunities have been pushed back.

First, Phineas and Ferb were originally planned to make the jaunt to Hollywood Studios in mid-May. Due to some confusion about the duo's school schedule (they won't be finished until the end of May), their movie-themed greeting experience will be delayed a few more weeks.

The final number of topiaries for this year's festival? Over 70!

Lotso, the villainous bear from "Toy Story 3," has joined Buzz Lightyear and Woody near the front flower beds. Make sure to get a whiff of Lotso - he's strawberry scented.

Near Epcot's World Showcase entrance, Lightening McQueen and Mater topiaries have been added.

Mickey's Toontown Fair's Last Day Is In February 2011

If you want to visit the Magic Kingdom before Mickey's Toontown Fair closes, you'd better start planning soon. That particular area of the park is set to be closed on February 11, 2011, as part of the ongoing Fantasyland expansion.

This isn't exactly shocking news as Disney had announced plans to "repurpose" Goofy's Barnstormer when the first news of the expansion hit. However, it is a bit of sad news as the Fair has become a fixture at the kingdom and is a popular stop among the character-seeking set.

The Magic Kingdom's Festival of Fantasy Parade

Over the years I haven't been known to be much of a parade fan. However, on my last trip to Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom I was absolutely blown away by my first viewing of the Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade. Just a little over a year old (it debuted February 10th, 2014) this is a production on a grand scale and kicks off in the afternoon to continue the Disney tradition of classic parades in the Magic Kingdom.

Stop by Pinocchio’s Village Haus for a Good Meal and a Great View

Pinocchio's Village Haus at the Magic Kingdom is one of those almost hidden gems at Walt Disney World. We all know it exists, since it does sit right next to it's a small world and is pretty much in the center of Fantasyland. But it seems like it's one of those places that we often walk past but rarely walk in to dine, even though it is consistently good when we do eat there.

Breakfast Is Being Served Up Family Style At 'Ohana

'Ohana means family, and what better way to spend time with your family than 'Ohana's Best Friends Breakfast featuring Lilo and Stitch? No One Keeps The Magic Alive Like Gaston

Over the past several years, long time Disney fans have noticed a considerable decline in the quality of face characters at Walt Disney World. It was bound to happen with so many different meet and greet opportunities for guests to visit, Disney needed to hire more and more actors to fill those slots. One fantastic actor cannot meet all the guests all the time. However in creating a larger talent pool sometimes is seems like the Characters got watered down.

Top 10 Things You Can Get for Free at the Walt Disney World Resort

There's nothing inexpensive about a Walt Disney World vacation. From the hotel to the theme park tickets to airfare to food to must-have souvenirs, it's likely that your wallet is going to be a bit lighter at the end of the vacation.

Top 6 Tips for Getting Autographs at Walt Disney World

Once upon a time in the Magic Kingdom guests didn't wait in a five-hour long line to meet a Disney princess and her sister the Queen of Arendelle. Way back in the old days, it seemed as if the Disney characters were free to roam the Kingdom and no one needed FastPass+ to see them. Ah, the good old days.

Now that has all changed. When you visit Walt Disney World today, you not only need a FastPass+ to meet some characters, but you should also be armed with an autograph book, reliable pen, and a whole lot of patience.

Traveling to Walt Disney World During Hurricane Season

According to the National Hurricane Center (part of the National Weather Service), the Atlantic hurricane season starts on June 1 and ends on November 30 every year. This corresponds with some of the highest crowd levels for guests visiting Disney World. On the surface that looks like a bad thing, however, if you look a little deeper into the information, it's not that big of a deal, since not many hurricanes track straight through Central Florida.

Disney History: Remembering Mickey's Birthdayland, Starland, and Toontown Fair

Minnie and Mickey have been victims of Eminent Domain! This was my first thought upon hearing the announcement that Mickey's Toontown Fair was closing its doors and being leveled to make way for New Fantasyland. On my first visit to Walt Disney World, I was fortunate to visit Mickey's Birthdayland, which opened on June 18, 1988 to celebrate Mickey's 60th birthday.

Disney Blurs The Lines Of Heroes And Villains In "Maleficent"

"Sleeping Beauty" was the first Disney movie I saw as a child. What more could a young boy want then an epic story of a prince fighting a great evil (that just so happens to battle a witch that turns into a fire breathing dragon) for the love of his damsel in distress. As I grew up, however, that young boy wanted more than just the usual 'knight in shining armor' story. So when I was given the opportunity to see Disney's new take on this classic story, "Maleficent," I jumped at the chance...and I wasn't disappointed.
