Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy Topiaries to Debut at the 21st Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival

It isn't easy being green, but Kermit is going to give it a try at the Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival next year when he debuts as a topiary alongside his long-time love Miss Piggy. The dynamic duo will appear in the World Showcase topiary display.

The 21st annual Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival takes place from March 5 until May 18, and will feature nearly 100 topiaries.

Marketplaces at This Year’s Epcot International Food and Wine Festival Are Bigger and Better

When visiting the Epcot International Food and Wine Festival this year, you might notice something different about the locations when you're buying those tasty treats.

Gone are the generic booths from years past. The new locations - called marketplaces, not kiosks - are mini kitchen outlets where chefs can create culinary magic every day. David Buckley, the art director for the festival, is behind much of the redesign.

‘Monsters University’ Inspires Fashion Created by Student Designers

Disney Consumer Products has partnered with the Otis College of Art and Design in Los Angeles to create a sportswear collection based on characters from Disney/Pixar's Monsters University.

The college offers students more than a dozen programs including Fashion Design, Toy Design, and Fine Arts. The partnership with Disney Consumer Products was a chance for students to have one-of-a-kind creative experience bringing designs based on Mike, Sulley, and Art to life.

New Disney Dooney & Bourke Designs Arriving Later This Summer

Fans of the Disney Dooney & Bourke purses better start saving their money now - a new design was announced at the Monstrous Summer press event last month.

The new design - a black background with "Mickey" and "Minnie" in bold, vibrant colors with Mickey and Minnie head silhouettes - is set to debut later this summer at the Disney Parks. There's no word yet on how many bag designs are in the new collection.

HGTV Personalities Lineup Announced For Food & Wine Fest

Epcot's International Food and Wine Festival will get a dose of home and garden expertise this year as HGTV stars get set to share their knowledge. Recently, Disney Parks Blog announced this fall's lineup of celebs that will appear in seminars every Friday, Saturday and Sunday throughout the fest.

Here's the lineup:

  • Sept. 30-Oct. 2: Vern Yip, "HGTV Design Star" and "HGTV Urban Oasis"
  • Oct. 7-9: Monica Pedersen, "Designed to Sell"
  • Oct. 14-16: Erin Loechner, "Design Happens"
  • Oct. 21-23: Taniya Nayak, "Designed to Sell"

Test Track Presented by Chevrolet

Epcot's all a buzz for the re-opening of the brand new Test Track Presented by Chevrolet. The pavilion opened originally with the park, in 1982, as GM's 'World of Motion' and then was redesigned as the thrilling 'GM Test Track' in 1998. Today, after months of closure (renovations began back in April) this Future World staple is back with a fresh coat of paint and a brand new sponsor.

The Tile Mosaics of Epcot's Morocco Pavilion

Epcot's Morocco Pavilion is home to some of the most beautiful artworks in all of World Showcase. The first major expansion of World Showcase, King Hassan II actually sent his personal artisans to see to the architecture and to design and create the many intricate zellij mosaics.

Italy in Epcot: The 'Campanile di San Marco'

The design of Epcot's Italy Pavilion was created to showcase hallmarks of Italian architecture. The pavilion is modeled after St. Mark's Square in Venice with the large tower in the central plaza representing a one-fifth scale model of the 'Campanile di San Marco', the Bell tower of St Mark from the classic Italian city of Venice.
