Free Dining Plan Offer Back!

Planning a trip to Walt Disney World for this fall, winter or early next year? Then you're in luck! The ever-popular complimentary dining plan offer is back for those purchasing a package trip to WDW.

Here's what you need to know: guests who buy a non-discounted package of room and tickets for four nights/five days at certain Disney resorts will receive a free dining plan. The free plan offer is good for certain dates from October 2011 to March 2012.

There is some buzz surrounding the 2012 Disney Dining Plans and upcoming changes to the plans. Without further ado, here is the nitty gritty on what you might want to know about plans for next year.

Guests purchasing the Standard Dining Plan can expect to receive a refillable mugs as part of the plan. These nifty mugs let guests have access to unlimited soft drink and other quick service beverage refills while at their Disney resort.

Left-over Snack Credits Are Great For Snacky Souvenirs

I love the Deluxe Disney Plan; however frequently on the last day of my Walt Disney World vacations I find myself standing in the hotel lobby wondering what to do with a handful of leftover snack credits. This dilemma has given way to one of my family's Disney traditions, the snack haul. Unwilling to let those extra credits go to waste I head to the hotel gift shop just before I have to hop on the Magical Express and spend them on delicious pre-packaged snacks for the folks back home.

Lunch at Chefs De France Has An Authentic Atmosphere

There are so many places to eat in Epcot it can be trouble choosing which restaurant to try. When you add in the ones that are a must visit on every visit it can be hard to try and fit in new places. On our most recent trip we finally were able to squeeze in a meal at Chefs de France. It's been on the must-try list for some time now however it took a while to reach the top as we visit the 'real' France frequently and were worried that it wouldn't compare.

Hide Out at The Writers Stop

I'm not sure what I love more about this charming little spot is. It's got the perfect atmosphere for an afternoon break, there's a feeling of warmth that you find down at your community bookstore combined with some beautiful Disney merchandise, and some of the best snacks in all of Walt Disney World.

Tipping on the Disney Dining Plan

Being on the Disney Dining Plan is a great way to reduce travel stress by pre-paying for your meals. It's important to remember though that the service tip for your waiter or waitress is NOT included in your dining plan costs and will still need to be left at the time of your meal. The old addage remains at Walt Disney World - Don't forget to tip your servers.
