Disney Cruise Line Celebrating Halloween on the High Seas this Fall

Guests sailing on Disney Cruise Line ships this fall have a chance to celebrate Halloween on the High Seas.

Last year the Halloween-themed event only happened on the Disney Dream but this year for the first time all four ships will celebrate with Halloween-themed cruises beginning in September.

Disney Cruise Line Named Top Mega-Ship Cruise Line in ‘Travel + Leisure’ World’s Best List

Disney Cruise Line has been named the Top Mega-Ship Cruise Line by readers of Travel + Leisure magazine.

The cruise line was also named the Top Mega-Ship Cruise Line for Families in the magazine's World's Best Awards 2014.

This year marked the first year DCL was named the Top Mega-Ship Cruise Line, but was the sixth consecutive year that it was named a top cruise line for families.

Disney Cruise Line Returning to Hawaii, San Diego, and Galveston in 2015

Disney Cruise Line is making a return to Hawaii, San Diego, and Galveston for a limited engagement in 2015.

The Disney Wonder will have two special 10-night cruises to the Hawaiian Islands in September 2015, sailing to Waikiki on Oahu, Maui, Kauai, and the Big Island.

The first 10-night sailing departs Vancouver on September 7 and visits Hilo, Kauai, Maui, and Honolulu (Oahu). The second 10-night cruise departs Vancouver on September 17 and visits Honolulu, Maui, Hilo, and Kauai.

2015 Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend Ends with Inaugural Castaway Cay Challenge

A new race has been added as a tropical finish to the 2015 Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend.

The Castaway Cay Challenge is a joint venture between runDisney and Disney Cruise Line and gives runners a chance to finish their Marathon Weekend with a 5K on Disney's private island, Castaway Cay.

After finishing one (or more) of the Marathon Weekend races runners can compete on January 14 in the Disney Castaway Cay Challenge, a 5K race.

Destination America Network to Air ‘Disney Week’ Beginning March 3

For one week next month, Disney fans will get a behind-the-scenes look at Disney parks, resorts, and cruise line during Disney Week on Destination America.

The week long programming event will highlight Disneyland, Disney Cruise Line, and the Walt Disney World Resort theme parks and hotels.

Disney Cruise Line Changing At-Sea Internet Packages to Data Allotment Plans

Guests sailing on a Disney Cruise Line ship within the next few weeks will see a change in the Internet packages offered on board.

Disney Cruise Line is transitioning their Connect@Sea Internet from per-minute plans to data allotment plans. The new plans will include a pay-as-you-go plan and a 1GB plan. This means, time on the Internet at sea will no longer be measured in minutes.

Halloween might be months away, but Disney Cruise Line has just announced Halloween on the High Seas will be taking place on most voyages this fall from late September through October.

The Halloween celebration will feature themed-parties, entertainment, and spooky decor including The Pumpkin Tree which magically transforms throughout the cruise.

Disney Cruise Line Takes Top Three Spots in Condé Nast Readers Poll of Top 100 Cruise Ships in the World

Disney Cruise Line has once again ranked in the top three slots in the Conde Nast Traveler's Readers Poll of the top 100 cruise ships in the world.

The Disney Fantasy was ranked the number one large ship in the world, moving up from the number eight spot in the 2013 poll. The Disney Wonder and the Disney Dream took the number two and three spots respectively.

The Disney Magic might have been re-imagined last year, but it dropped to fifth place in the poll, falling from the top spot in the 2013 poll.

Disney Cruise Line Signs Berthing Agreement with British Virgin Islands

Disney Cruise Line has signed a preferred berthing agreement with the British Virgin Islands with a promise to deliver a total of 75,000 passengers yearly beginning in 2015.

The agreement was also signed by Norwegian Cruise Lines and the two cruise lines have agreed to deliver a total of 425,000 passengers to the British Virgin Islands starting next year and continuing for 15 years. If they fail to deliver the cruise lines will have to pay for lost tax revenues.
