2014 Festival of the Masters Cancelled Due to Disney Springs Construction

This year's Festival of the Masters has been cancelled due to the ongoing construction at Downtown Disney.

The three-day art festival has been housed in Downtown Disney's West Side, but Disney recently announced that the festival will not be held this year as that area is unavailable due to the expansion construction.

This would have marked the 39th year of the Festival of the Masters. Last year's even featured more than 300 artists showcasing photography, painting, glasswork, sculptures, and more.

WonderGround Gallery Merchandise Added to Marketplace Co-Op in Downtown Disney

The Marketplace Co-Op at Downtown Disney has added another boutique area to the retail space, and this one hails from Disneyland.

The WonderGround Gallery now has a showcase of merchandise just inside the doors of the Co-Op.

Guests at Disneyland can find the original WonderGround Gallery at the Downtown Disney District. The west coast store opened in 2012 showcases unique art collections by various artists.

In the past couple of weeks Starbucks has opened two new locations at the Disney Parks and the two stores share a unique feature.

For the first time Starbucks is connecting customers on opposite sides of the country through in-store interactive touchscreens.

New Alex and Ani Bracelets Featuring Disney Parks Icons and Characters Now at Disney Parks

The Alex and Ani Disney Collection is now sporting all-new icon charms.

The collection was made up of more than eight different Disney symbols, birthstones, and initials and the new additions include signature charms inspired by Disney's Animal Kingdom, Epcot, and Disney's Hollywood Studios. Later this month Mickey's Fun Wheel from Disney California Adventure joins the collection.

This year's Car Masters Weekend returns to Downtown Disney on Father's Day weekend, June 14 and 15 and promises guests some high-octane excitement.

Guests at this year's event can see more than 100 classic, muscle, and exotic vehicles at the Downtown Disney Car Show Presented by Meguiar's.

The cars will be displayed on the West Side promenade and fans even have a chance to vote for their favorite car. There will be expert judges on hand to score the cars, and the event closes with an awards ceremony on Sunday night.

Cherry Tree Lane Opening Soon in Marketplace Co-Op at Downtown Disney

When the Marketplace Co-Op opens in Downtown Disney this summer, one of the boutiques will be a one-stop-shop for accessories and designer handbags.

Cherry Tree Lane's merchandise will includes jewelry, watches, scarves, ballet flats, and of course Disney handbags.

The name of the store was inspired by the street where Mr. Banks and his family live in Disney's Mary Poppins, and the fixtures in the store include references to the film such as iconic umbrellas, hats, and kites.

Marketplace Co Op to Open at Downtown Disney Marketplace in the spring of 2014

Savvy shoppers can add another location to their Downtown Disney Marketplace shopping list. The Marketplace Co Op is set to take over the current location of Team Mickey next to TrenD next spring.

The Marketplace Co Op will "serve as a laboratory to showcase new concepts and specialty products" according to Tom Sheldon, manager of retail design and development for Disney Theme Park Merchandise. He also said the new store was an "incubator to introduce new Disney retails shops and products."
