Parts of "Very Merry" Comes To Magic Kingdom Now Through New Year's

Looks like Walt Disney World is incoporating some elements from the after-hours, special-ticket-required Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party into its daytime Magic Kingdom schedule now through New Year's. Guests braving the crowds at the Magic Kingdom this year can now catch Mickey's Once Upon a Christmastime Parade and "Holiday Wishes," a nighttime fireworks display.

Disney VoluntEARS Donate Record Number of Toys

The Disney VoluntEARS have been hard at work collecting toys at WDW's toy drive and recently made a record-setting donation to U.S. Marine Corps Reserve's Central Florida Toys for Tots. Some 30,000 toys, gathered during this year's Toys for Tots toy drive, were delivered by cast members and Mickey himself recently.

Staff at the organization's headquarters say this is the largest donation of toys to date and will go to help some 20,000 children in the Florida counties of Seminole and Orange have a brighter holiday season.

Two New Dining Experiences at Disney

There are two new dining experiences on the horizon for Walt Disney World guests - a character lunch and a holiday dinner.

First off, the Animal Kingdom's Tusker House will be expanding the Donald and Daisy-themed character breakfast to include a character lunch. Starting December 4, the Donald's Dining Safari lunch will let guests enjoy an all-you-can-eat buffet with African touches in a character dining atmosphere. Reservations for this new experience began September 15.

2011 Candlelight Processional Celebrity Narrators Announced

Summer may just be heating up, but it's never too early to start thinking of the holiday season. Epcot's Candlelight Processional, a guest favorite, is a Disney-sized telling of the Christmas story that features a live orchestra, three choirs and a celebrity narrator. Just released is this year's line up of celebs who will lend their voices to this year's event, and here they are:

Disney Plans Activities for Easter

This time of year is traditionally a busy time at Walt Disney World as spring break and the Easter holiday combine to attract many guests to Disney. To celebrate this year's Easter, Disney has some activities planned for guests planning to visit the happiest place on earth.

Easter wouldn't be complete for some without a visit to the Easter Bunny. What better way to see him than at Disney? Catch the Easter Bunny plus his wife, Mrs. Bunny, now through Saturday near Magic Kingdom's City Hall in the Tour Guide Gardens.

First performed in Disneyland in 1958 the Processional first made its way to the Walt Disney World Resort in 1971. It found its current home at the American Gardens Theatre in Epcot in 1994.
