Great Lounges on Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom Monorial Loop

It's 4pm and you're in the Magic Kingdom, your stomach is rumbling and you're yearning to kick back with a relaxing drink before dinner. Yet even though there are many places within the Magic Kingdom that are designated as "Saloon" or "Tavern", much like Captain Jack, you'll find that the rum is always gone. Though there are over 50 great places to grab a drink in Walt Disney World, the Magic Kingdom is completely dry.

The Outer Rim Lounge at Disney's Contemporary Resort

Situated in the hustle and bustle of the fourth floor's Grand Canyon Concourse, the Outer Rim Lounge offers a comfortable spot to relax and enjoy views of activity on Bay Lake below. Its location offers travelers easy access to all the dining and shopping that Disney's Contemporary Resort has to offer, all from one central location. I can see mom and dad sitting down for a drink while the kids go off to browse the gift shop, or collect their weight in penny presses just around the corner.

Contemporary Resort's The Wave Bar

Tucked away in a corner on the lobby level of Disney's Contemporary Resort The Wave is best known as a restaurant for it's sustainable and seasonal cuisine. It's lounge however is a beautiful spot for chic cocktails and a relaxing taste of the fresh menu.

Disney's Polynesian Resort's Tambu Lounge

Tucked in the back of the mezzanine level of Disney's Polynesian Resort, sitting right next to the family restaurant 'OHana is the Tambu Lounge. Open from 1:00 pm until Midnight the quirky, brightly colored Tambu seems like it's more lobby bar than lounge, but what a magnificent lobby it's in! The lush landscapes and Polynesian tiki art surrounding the bar create interesting focal points and conversation starters for those enjoying a drink.
