Disney Dream Christened

It was a day of magic for Disney Cruise Line's long-awaited newest ship. January 19 saw the Disney Dream christened in a lavish and grand ceremony which featured celebrities, top Disney executives and the Mouse himself.

Multi-talented actress and singer Jennifer Hudson was on hand as the Dream's godmother. A very fitting choice was Ms. Hudson as her Oscar- and Grammy-winning career started in 2003 aboard the Dream's sister ship, the Wonder.

Changes to Fantasyland Expansion Plans

The fact that bulldozers have already gone to work might lead you to believe that the plans for the Fantasyland update were long since finalized. According to an interview with the Walt Disney Parks and Resorts Chairman Tom Staggs in the Orlando Sentinel, this is not the case.

Last week Disney Chairman and CEO Bob Iger received a letter from the Co-Chairman of the Congressional Bi-Partisan Privacy Caucus, Edward Markey, (D- Mass). The letter called the company on the carpet and demanded answers to seven multi-part questions about the collection of personal date from guests, with a focus on youth.

MyMagic+ Set to Roll Out at Walt Disney World

Earlier this week Chairman of Walt Disney Parks and Resorts, Tom Staggs, offered fans a glimpse into the future. The details of the $1 billion NextGen program have been much speculated over the past few years, but it's about to begin a major roll out to the public and "push the boundaries of the [Walt Disney World] guest experience."
