I'm at the Apple store in Lyndhurst, OH. I'm number 8 in line. I love the fun of waiting in line. Several people have said hi and the news channel 3 is filming us... biggrin
Only 8 more hours until,I can purchase my iPhone 5 woohoo

Here is a very interesting video of the Galaxy 3 vs. iPhone 5 in a phone drop stand off!

And a standard drop test of just the iPhone 5

Hey Kris1971-

I've been using Macs for years, and we officially have an "Apple" house, so if you need any help/tips/hints, feel free to drop me a line! I am the resident Mac help desk for our circle of friends... just had another one join the club last week!

It will certainly take some getting used to, but the more you use it and "play around" with it, the more you'll see how user-friendly, smooth and functional it is.

Good luck!

Thank you so much! I may just take you up on that when my new phone arrives. I'm going to need lots of help figuring out how the macbook and iphone can work together!

I'm #21 on the waiting list at our local AT&T store; waiting for a phone call in the next week or so. Sales clerk said my phone would probably be in their second shipment.

I've had an iPad for the past 2 years and have never had a smart phone, can't wait! My SO switched from a Blackberry to an iPhone at the beginning of the summer and he couldn't be happier. It's going to be great when everything gets synched up.

I have one in my hands right now. I bought it at the apple store earlier today. Mine is a 16GB black. Eric's was just delivered while he was at cross fit. His is a 16GB white. The black one is beautiful and looks like the bat mobile. I wasnt a fan of white. His is in a box still, hidden away because I am making him do a scavenger hunt to find it since I wasted my day waiting for UPS.

I like mine a lot. If I didn't get an upgrade on my contract, I wouldn't have bought it but I wanted to keep my 6GB of data with LTE o signing a 3yr contract wasn't so bad.

My mom will get my 4S this weekend

We just found out that we should have ours on Tuesday, and we just cant wait. Someone at church had one so we were able to compare... and I cant believe how thin and light that sucker is! I was amazed!

Ok here's my review after a full weekend of having my phone. It's awesome! I have the 32GB in black DW has the 16 in white. It's fast, sleek, and light. The panorama option is awesome awesome it's kind of weird to hold it because it seems small but it's the same width as before. The Apple store didn't have extra cords, cases or the adapters. I apparently made the local news and the wtam web page as we waited outside. They video taped me playing bejeweled on my iPad 2 while waiting in line.
Mase, you're going to love it. muchlove

And you are correct! I got mine today in the mail, and its been great! I have been needing to recharge it a bit today because of how much power ive been using getting all my stuff back on it.... lol

I checked out the panorama mode is pretty slick. I took a pic and my son was moving in it, and thought it would be ruined, and it wasnt! It some how showed him not moving at all! Couldnt believe it! Going from the 4 to the 5 was like going from 3G to the 4. The every two years is perfect for the upgrade. Im looking forward to FaceTime when I want. Got my Starbucks App going. Love being able to post pictures and even status updates for Facebook without entering Facebook. The only thing thats gonna be hard is the length. My thumb isnt long enough to reach to the top of the screen unless I move my hand up. I know that sounds easy enough... but for the past 5-6 years its never been an issue. So thats going to take some getting use to.

The other downfall with the upgrade was the type of stereo system I have in my Explorer. It had a dock where I put my iPhone in and controlled what I listened to. Now I cant use the dock because they changed the power connector. SOOOO... I bought a Bluetooth adapter for it, and it actually works MUCH better than the dock. So in a way... what I thought was gonna be a downfall turned into a nice plus.

Ill do what you did Dee after having it for a couple days. See if my thumb situation changes... lol

So imagine the GSIII in your hand! That's phone huge. AFter seeing the durability tests, and review of the iPhone 5, it's become at OS decision for me, and right now I am leaning iOS, mainly because of the App Store and music player, which Android lags behind greatly, especially on my phone (Evo Shift 4G). So yeah, I'm leaning back to iOS, even though I've been an advocate of team android for years now..4G has also captured me. iOS has finally caught up to the technology that Android has.

With the Galaxy... id hold it with two hands. With me... ive always preferred the screen size the way it was on the iPhone because it was a perfect one hand hold. But you wont be sorry with the iPhone 5. Its high quality... and like all of the iPhones like it... it will hold a value 2 years from now.

Welp.... after having it since Tuesday and abusing the poor thing... I like it. After having an iPhone for 5 years... I am at the point where I want something new, but like I said earlier... I can't leave Apple with all of the Appz ive invested in. So if you have had an iPhone since the beginning... its nothing new to be honest. Dont get me wrong... its a HUGE jump from the iPhone 4 to the iPhone 5, but like previous little jumps... like from iPhone 3GS to iPhone 4... no need. Same here... a 4S has no reason to upgrade because you get the same bells and whistles with iOS6 that the iPhone 5 has. Only differences... taller.... a tad faster... a little bit better camera. So anyways...

I have enjoyed LTE let me tell you. It is flat out amazing. When I would listen to music in my car with ATT 3G.... it would hiccup every once in a while. Pause. Stall. But now... even on Verizons 3G I have had no issue what so ever! Im in heaven! Plus since I cant use my dock connector anymore... im running bluetooth. So my truck turns on... iPhone 5 recognizes my stereo... and BOOM BOOM BOOM! PARTAY!!! Love that!

The camera is pretty slick. Im looking forward to using it at Disney to be honest. But the one annoying thing is the obvious... the new plug. For what I do... I dont get a full day charge out of my iPhone. Dont get me wrong... its close. The first full day I had it down to 13% before I plugged it in within a couple hours before bed. So until I can get the adapters... im stuck with taking my cord with me in the card as well. But... in favor of the new cord. Its nice that it doesnt matter which way its plugged in. Usually when I go to bed... Jess is already asleep... so I'm messing with the cord in the dark trying to figure out which way it plugs in. But now... dont have to worry about it anymore.

So... overall... even though im tired of the iPhone and want something different... it still blows my mind how great of a phone it is. Siri has been fun. It almost made me cuss at my Pastor the other day because I said Does she still have issues, when Siri translated it to Does $#!T have tampons. Seriously... have no clue where Siri got that? But its fun when she gets it wrong... because I usually post the pic of it on my Facebook... lol. So yeah... I highly recommend this phone. You wont be disappointed in it!

Just Got mine. it's pretty cool. does seem smaller and lighter. I like the ear plug and data/charging ports both on the bottom it fits in my car set up better this way. no other review points yet as I've only had it 2 hours so far.

You like Siri? Google Voice is 10x better! Not even kidding! have you seen the comparison videos? I'm 100% set on the GSIII now. the durability of the SIII may be worse, but it's just a better phone, overall and completely.

I love Siri. When I had the problems.... it was raining outside, and I had the wipers going full blast. But that isnt fun to add to the story.... lol.

Other than that. The only time ive had issues was saying my friends name Seth. I dont know if it was the way I was saying it or Siri having an issue... but thats really truly been it.

I had that for a week and I just couldnt get into it. It didnt play the files I wanted and such. The airplay was great... but most of the movies I had were on iTunes anyways. Maybe someday when it can make me Starbucks coffee...
