Yes, we are talking about the path to nowhere. Thanks to Mr. Hub's skycam shot, I was saved the humiliation of getting to the canal and having to hang my head in shame and turn back. I am so gullible when it comes to a good walking path. mickey

Now how about a nice drawbridge like the one in Epcot that they let up to bring in the illuminations stuff? There could so be one there, and only let up to bring in the electrical parade stuff! I suppose that is not very cost effective. Probably not hoards of folks demanding that walking path, maybe. mickey

From what I understand, thats originally what they were going to put in , but it never happened Why not, I do not know.

Bacteria. 99% sure that's not the case, but that's my go to answer from now on when they don't do anything involving water. wink

I don't think bacteria had anything to do with them not puting in a bridge. If they were that worried about the bacteria I think they would have the entire lake fenced off. laugh

my last trip, we spent time exploring the resorts and took the boat from POR to DTD. It was very nice & relaxing.

We also took the launch from MK to GF & then the Poly for lunch. That was my favorite.

with 45 minutes to boat from DHS to Epcot, I'm thinking that might make a nice afternoon break/rest-stop.

When I was in WDW we rode the boat that went from Swan-Beach Resort-Epcot-Boardwalk. Not sure which one that is..but we did that. We had extra time one night and decided what the heck. We were at the Swan so we decided to go. It wasn't anything special, but we found some friends to chat with so that always makes the ride better.

I love the fireworks cruises on Bay Lake/Seven Seas lagoon... does that count? If I need to pick a standard boat ride from point A to B it would be the Ferry Boat from MK to GF and Poly. I love ferry boats!

Speaking of "Old Navy" ... When the kids and I were at Six Flags last weekend which is near Great Lakes and I couldn't figure out why there were so many Marines were there. The next day I was told by one of the girls that lived in the area that they were sailors! In Khaki and Black!? Color me confused, I had to come home and google the "new" uniform.

They look sharp, and I would have been so happy to not have to wear those thin cotton "see through" working whites. However, Khaki used to be something one earned.
