Until I can get my scrapbooking stuff back from my mom's (this weekend YAY!) I've been playing around with digital scrapbooking. Here's my first attempt at a Disney page Smile

If anyone is interested, Michaels had a Cricut on sell for $89 Saturday when I was there. And, believe it or not, I did once do a scrapbook for someone I met online. He wanted to give it to his wife for Christmas. He sent me the pictures, I made the scrapbook and shipped it to him at his work.
I would like to know more about digital scrapbooking. That page looks great. Do you print that out and put it in a book or is it really meant to remain digital?

I haven't printed it yet, but I've seen some that the company I'm with, printed and they look great! The company is Stampin' Up! and they do stamping, cards, scrapbooking and such! It's been a lot of fun to play with!

Here's some comparison layouts I did of our 2003 trip and our 2009 trip. Evan was a baby for the 2003 trip and Brooklin was a baby for the 2009 trip

Jess...I LOVE the before and after concept of that scrapbook!!!!! It is awesome..I have made a mental note to do that with my kids..if there is another one..which there probably will be one day..but not now.

I'm trying to do the math--but how far apart are your kids?

They are quite a bit... about 6-7 years apart. Kinda had to be that way because Jess was in school, and we didnt want her missing school. So we waited till she got out. Its nice having them this far a part... but its also a disadvantage as well. The biggest is little sis love big bro, and big bro has been single for so long and loves doing his own thing even though little sis wants to join in with big bro... thats probably the biggest difference and one reason we wish they could be a little closer. You'd probably still have that at any age, but probably not as bad.

Love those pages Jess! So cute.

I have started picking up embellishments for my WDW book every time I make a run to Michael's, LoL. This most recent time I got an awesome Italy sticker for the pavilions page. I hope to have a good amount by the time we go.

Wow! I have been meaning to look at this thread for just ever! And finally did...and I'm so appreciative of the talent and creativity of all of you! While I love everything I see, I think my favorite shot is the one at the end of January 2010 book, Scrappy - through the Mickey keyhole. That is just so, so, so cool!

I'll echo what Brad says - I love everyone's style. Jess - the comparison pics are so terrific. And Jeff, I love how you use all the little momentos. I always grab that stuff and keep it - receipts, ticket stubs, programs - with the intention of "someday"...

Macdamron - that's such a cute picture - and a great start.

Thanks for sharing your mad skills, everyone. WHAT an inspiration.

Seriously, I have been looking and re-looking at these photos a lot today...then the box with all my honeymoon scrapbook stuff sits and mocks me from the guest room. I can sit down and whip up curtains or make paint a wall any day..but scrapbooking..I just can't focus enough. This is something I technically should be good at right? I mean I am an elementary teacher for goodness sake. I can make a mean bulletin board in my sleep.

My point..I am jealous of y'alls talent!

Thanks everyone for all the compliments...they really mean alot to me.....And Bella....you just got to do it....at first I wasn't very good either...and once I got into it it just all fell together....My hubby can atest to that....And if it makes you feel any better it's a good thing I'm not a teacher cause I wouldn't be able to make a bulletin board to save my life...Evan's come home with projects from school that involved making posters and stuff and they weren't nearly as good as my scrapbook pages...LOL

Bella I saw a pre done album at Michaels and thought of you. All you have to do is slide the photos on the page an snazzy it up a bit.
