Sounds delish actually! And DH love Chevy's, so clearly, we're not all about authenticity...although we also just bought Rick Bayless's book. There's a season for everything, I guess.

Yum..it was so good..I'm still eating on it too so it lasts forever.

The Mole is AMAZING, as well as the chili con polemo (sp?) I had to find the recipe when we got home to make it for my DH

Is that from the current menu? I know they changed some of it somewhat recently.

THis was from October last year I certainly hope that they kept these

Unless the food has really changed since the last time we were there, It would be hard for us to go back there. The service was not bad and the restaurant is really amazing, but the food was just so bland, it really had no flavor. That was just after they change managment last time so it could have gotten better since then.

It has changed. I pretty much swore it off after the first time I went, but I was coerced into going back and it was actually pretty darn good. It was much better than the Hacienda IMO. Our service wasn't terrible, though not stellar, but the food was pretty darn good. They've also got killer margaritas at all the "Mexican" restaurants (San Angel Inn, Hacienda, Cava del Tequila, even Maya Grill) if you like those.

San Angel Inn was one of the first restaurants we had been to and we hadn't been back until just recently our experience was so bad so I understand your thoughts, but I'd seriously think about giving it a second shot.
