189 days for us! and the first time with another ADULT couple (took adult sons once) but this is just two couples in their (((cough)))mumblemumble years (okay in our 60's ) going to the Food and Wine (and don't forget the beer! my husband always says) and FINALLY staying at POFQ (unless a resort promotion comes up and move to save money - don't forget the beer!).

I am a Disney junkie and my former students (highschool) and friends all know it. I love posing with Mickey and sprinkling Fairydust where ever we are.
I am also an pre-trip organization freak because when I get to that airport to leave I want to spend a full 7 days on autopilot because everything is already booked, reserved, and planned.

The clicker widget is on my computer counting the days!!!!! clapping

417 DAYS ...
Dueling Dragons was one of Islands of Adventure's original attractions, opening with the theme park on May 28, 1999, in the park's The Lost Continent area. At the time, it was the only fully inverted dueling roller coaster in the world. The ride was themed to two dueling dragons, with one track named Ice and the other named Fire.Sadly with the change to the theme of the ride the Dueling aspect has been removed.

Marvel Super Hero Island is notable for its unique, comic-book styled architecture. Many of the building interiors are created in what could be considered comic book perspective, with exaggerated lines and angles. Meanwhile, many exteriors are painted in a special paint which appears to change color based on the angle from which it is viewed " sometimes purple, sometimes orange. Perhaps most notably, the buildings are all labelled generically, as one would expect the buildings in the background of a comic panel to be: "Store," "Shop," "Food," and "Comics," instead of detailed names and logos.

415 DAYS ...
The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man is a motion-based 3D dark ride located at the Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios Japan theme parks. Built for Islands of Adventure's opening in 1999, the attraction is a hybrid ride combining special roving motion vehicles with 3D projection, elaborate physical sets, and both practical and tactile effects.
The ride takes park guests-turned-last-minute-reporters into the world of Marvel Comics' Spider-Man, and after boarding a Daily Bugle vehicle known as the "Scoop", the rider learns that the evil Sinister Syndicate has captured the Statue of Liberty with an anti-gravity gun. This evil group is made up of many famous Spider-Man villains, including Doctor Octopus, Scream, Electro, Hydro-Man, and the Hobgoblin.
The attraction took three years to produce, with many new technologies and techniques being developed. The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man has been well received, winning several awards including the Golden Ticket Award for Best Dark Ride for twelve consecutive years.
