The path has changed to go up western CT / eastern NY. Originally they predicted her path to go straight the center of the state.

Jess, we are about 20-25 miles from Philly. We had very little problems with the storm. Philly is a mess though as are some places north of us. We are not near any water though. It is still very windy here.

For us not bad at all, some wind, some rain, but nothing drastic. Hope everything went as well for everyone else.

My internet went out yesterday around 2:00. Cable and internet were back on when I got home from work. Now, I have no cell phone service.

So...it sounds as though everyone made it through fairly unscathed, yes? Very thankful. It's amazing how many of us - over quite a large area - this thing had the potential to impact, from beginning to end.

Apparently I "spoke" too soon yesterday. As soon as I posted my update, the internet went out again. Keep your fringers crossed it's back on for the long run.

So glad everyone is safe and survived Irene. It was a strange experience as a Floridian to watch a hurricane active so far north, usually y'all are watching us! It is funny how so many of us were potentially affected in so many different places so spread out. We are a diverse geographic group!
