Well, my first choice was the Wicked Witch of the West and a flying monkey! I found great costumes for both. Only problem is they would present some logistical issues (as we'd have to put on my wife's stage make up at the park and though it would be ride-able, the flying monkey costume's probably not the most comfortable). So...I decided Mario and Princess Peach would be pretty awesome since we're nerdy gamers (especially me). The aforesaid M&P are comfortable, portable, non-obtrusive, and in my opinion high on the cool/unique scale (relatively speaking).

That's fun! PS. I totally recommend MNSSHP. It's some of the most fun I've had there. I particularly recommend going to one of the early ones where you can have all the fun and really low crowds. What is the date of your ticket?

Yepper:) I couldn't have picked a better time, and this was pure happenstance. Going the week of our anniversary. I was bummed there was no Cirque de Soleil the week we're there, but I've more than made up for that with the NSSHP and other extras.

Where are those costume ideas Bali? wink

Cirque is another thing I've never heard a bad review of. Probably a great thing to do on that kind of trip. Totally bummer that they're closed.

Yeah, I was pretty upset when I found out the week we were there was one of two or three all year the performers are off. Like I said though, I've managed to fill our time with plenty of other goodies mickey

Thank you. I've thought long and hard about this. It's actually pretty hard to come up with something interesting given all the constraints. It has to be relatively easy to get on, has to be family friendly, not too scary, has to be 'ride-able', and I want them to be recognizable but not to draw too much attention. I think M&P works out pretty well.

Naw, it's the mini-dress variety. Comes to about the knee. Not quite as authentic, but still recognizable, cute, and more wearable.

Well, I can't make any guarantees, but I'm pretty good at surprises. I do it as often as possible for my wife. She is constantly stressed out at work making life and death decisions all day every day, so it's nice for her not to have to worry about details like these. I think I can pull it off, but I'll keep everyone posted.

She knows I've got things up my sleeve, but I don't think she has any idea what.

She's probably just glad to be able to enjoy the surprises and not trying to figure out what they are. That's fantastic.

Yep:) It works out well for us. I like to do these things anyway and she would probably prefer I did them even if she did have time. She always says 'You're better at these things'. Given the fact that she couldn't if she wanted to, due to time, it works out great.

Whoops! Forgot to post them!

I always like doing the "easy, comfortable" stuff, like a football jersey and some black stuff under your eyes (football player!), scrubs (you're a doctor!), and overalls and a bandana (a farmer!). mickey
