No, it doesn't unfortunately. It's just the story.
I actually have no idea how many people are getting the magazine -- I sent an email to the editor to ask (I've been talking to her a lot), but haven't gotten an answer yet.

I don't think you're spinning your wheels (though I'm sure you're getting some hits!). Blogs are a great way to think through things, try out new writing styles, experiment a little... And nobody has readers RIGHT AWAY... there has to be something there for them to get hooked on

Shameless self-promotion - you can buy my stories here! I have one in the first special edition and one in the regular second edition. The first is sci-fi/horror bent, the second is more realistic - two adult grandchildren learning a secret about the grandfather who raised them.
Each issue is only five dollars - there are a couple of good stories in each, though I do think (shameless self promotion) that mine are the best
