Honestly? Wanna keep a secret? I'm setting my sights on a destination wedding for.. ::drum roll:: Disney World!! Kinda predictable I guess, huh? My mom's kinda bursting my balloon ya know? Raining on my parade? Apparently I have a lot to do in my life between school and work and stuff in order to "even talk about it". Yuck. Not very magical.

Okay... let me put some air back into that balloon a bit. My BFF's fiance at one point called a Disney Wedding using the "easy button". If you get married at home will you do it all yourself, or will you use a wedding planner? Most folks getting married at home don't hire a planner. Guess what, you get one at Disney! Someone there just for you to help walk you through the process and make sure that everything is perfect on the day of your event. Disney Weddings are FULL of win, no matter what non-believers say.

However, jumping in with a date before your soon to be in-laws who already have one set.... eek man, if I were that bride I'm not sure I'd forgive you!

I am *so* happy for you two!

One tip about the wedding... and this is from experience... Smile and Nod. Let her decide what she wants. Maybe bring it up for a Disney wedding, but let her decide. Gotta learn early.... Smile and Nod.

awesome

I would..if she actually wanted one. Ok, well she does. But her mindset is, "just forget it, it's way too expensive..just drop the subject..you're dreaming."

I'm the one going fun crazy looking at locations and stuff for ceremonies and receptions...

No no no...we did not get engaged in front of Donald lol. For all you who ask. We were just @ Character Spot and he told me to get onto one knee for some fun photos!

These photos are just cropped screenshots from the Photopass website since I have no patience for my CD to come with the high-res's yet lol.

Kinda worked for us there at Epcot that day (last Monday...the 16th) because it started POURING as soon as we began our 40min wait for character spot.

I was thinking to myself that morning..since it was our last full day in WDW..that we seriously accomplished a lot. I truly felt like we milked this trip for everything it had to offer. AKL..club level...effective touring plans with free relaxing poolside afternoons away from the heat and crowds...meal plan and stuck-to budget...you name it. The one thing that sorta bugged me is that we had absolutely NO character photos. I know we're in our 20's and not children, but we're in Disney World! We hadda get some awesome character photos.

Hence....Character Spot. We were going to grab a photo with Mickey @ MK. We grabbed a FP for it and everything. But the skies darkened and we feared rain...so we went to do some indoor stuff like Phil and Pirates. The rain came, and by the time we got back to Main St., it was like 8ish. The crowds were wayyy too heavy already (waiting for MSEP/Wishes) by the castle so we just said forget it, and staked out a fantastic early spot for Wishes.

Wow...I really went on a rant there for a bit lol...sorry!

PS: In hindsight....I sorta regret not grabbing some Pooh & friends photos @ Crystal Palace for breakfast that morning...

I agree with disneydoc. You never outgrow the characters. Here I am at 42 in November. Not only do I love getting pictures with the characters, I have an autograph book.
