I am waiting for my laptop to come back from the Apple store. The hard drive crashed and burned the night we got back from our trip. They have to replace it. I should get it back today or tomorrow.

This is from Buffalobill using NHShorty's computer....

Yes, we uncovered an imposter waiter.

The level of deductive reasoning exhibited by four middle-aged, caffeine deprived people would have made Sherlock proud.

The moral of this story is never wear an ID badge listing your home down as "Level Green, PA" when you have no idea where it is and you are serving a couple from PA and an inquisitive individual who asks stupid questions like, "Where the heck is Level Green, PA?"

Turns out they have a drawer full of ID badges out back in case somebody named Louis from Cleveland forgets his badge.

Also, the badge said the guy's name was "Dino", so he was just asking for it.

Curiosity got the best of me. I had to look up Level Green PA. It's in Westmoreland County. I lived in Westmoreland County and I've never heard of it.

Time to get this show on the road and start the trip report.

Saturday we checked into the Yacht Club. As soon as we gave the CM our name and he brought up our reservation he told us we had been upgraded to Club Level. He called for a manager and the manager took us up in the elevator to the 5th floor. There we were greeted by the concierges. We did have a bit of glitch with our Magic Bands. They said they thought it was because we had two resorts booked. But, soon all of our bands were working fine and we were on our way to our room. I really liked the room and would stay at the Yacht Club again. Doc we did pay out of pocket for our one night stay. You can use DVC points in non DVC resorts but the points they charge per night are very very high.

Since we were only spending one night here there was no need to really get settled in. Mrhub did set up his webcam. As soon as he had that running off we went. We got on the boat and went to Hollywood Studios. The weather was a bit overcast and not really all that warm. It was not raining when we headed out though. Once we got to the Studios we looked through the shops. We both made our first purchases of our trip. Mrhub just had to have a hat. I just had to have those adorable hidden Mickey shoes.
We had FP+ selections for TOT, Toy Story and Star Tours. They were all for a bit later in the day though. We had walked over near Star Tours and the wait time was only 10 minutes so we went on without using a FP+. We then pretty much walked right into the Muppets. By now it was time for our Toy Story FP+. The FP line looked long but it was no more than 5-10 minutes from the time we first got into line till we were seated and ready to play.

By now, it was getting close to our ADR time for dinner at the Brown Derby. Dinner was great as it always is. It was however a lot more crowded than we are use to. I usually book our dinner there for a night in which there is no Fantasmic. There is a big difference in how crowded it is depending on whether or not there it is a Fantasmic Dinner package night. This also makes a really big difference in how many kids are there. Although they were busy, our meal and service were still great.

And the next time she looked at that Hollywood (the drink), it was gone!

It indeed was so good I had another! After dinner it was time for our TOT FP. I was not going to ride after eating and drinking. We walked down to the entrance and first noticed the stand by time was something like 210 minutes. That seemed a bit odd as it was no where near that before dinner. But off we went to the FP line. We were greeted by a CM saying one elevator was down so even the FP line was a 45 minute wait. I offered to wait with Mrhub but he said he did not feel like waiting that long. By this time it had started to rain a fine mist and the wind was starting to blow a bit. I was cold. I had on shorts and a tank top and did not have a sweater or sweatshirt with me. I did not even pack one for this trip. We decided to call it a day and head back to our resort. When we got back to the resort we went to the lounge to see what this club level stuff is all about. Neither one of us cared much for their offerings. Mrhub did take a cup full of jelly fish candy. We both took a ginger ale. We went back to our room to watch the fireworks from our balcony. I must say watching Illuminations from your balcony is nothing like watching Wishes from your balcony.

Over all, we had a fun first day. To sum up our first day:

My low of the day would have to have been the weather.
My highlight was being upgraded to Club Level.

Marks highlight of the day was his meal at the Brown Derby.
His low of the day was being very disappointed in Club Level.

Sunday morning we awoke to a beautiful day. Hello sunshine and warmth! We had a long cold snowy Winter followed by a cool wet Spring. I sprang out of bed and got dressed to head to the lounge to see what offerings club level would have for breakfast. Truthfully, I was not looking for breakfast this early, I was looking for COFFEE. I was disappointment to find that the lounge did not open till 7:00. It was only 6:15. So, I reported back to Mrhub and headed out to greet the day. The resort is really beautiful. Mrhub did come down and he had found coffee for us. So we sat on the rockers on the porch drinking our coffee while watching the day come to life.

Once we finished taking pictures we headed in to shower and then find some breakfast. By this time the lounge was open but not what we had in mind for breakfast. We decided to head to the Captains Grill for breakfast. You can either do a buffet or order from their menu. We both ordered off the menu. It was rather tasty. We both agreed we would not mind eating there again.

The first three pictures are what we found in the lounge. There was a good bit to drink but very little to eat. There were bagels and toast that are not in the picture. The last two pictures are what we had at the Captains Grill. The picture I am sitting in front of has a ship that moves across the water.

Now it was time to pack up and head on over to BLT. As I have said, I was very nervous about staying here. I was not sure I would like the theme very much and I did not want to be on a high floor. We had booked a lake view. When we checked in our room was not ready but they had one on the 5th floor that the CM thought we would like as we would have both a lake and a Magic Kingdom view. I really gave poor Mrhub no choice. I said we will take it! It ended up, I loved the room as well as the resort. Our view was great!!!

I unpacked and got us settled in while Mrhub set up his webcams. Once we were finished with that we were out the door to the Magic Kingdom. The Magic Kingdom is truly my happy place. I do not have to really being doing much of anything when we are in there, I just feel happy being there. We did our first two FP+ rides, Splash Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain. Both looked like long FP lines but once again we were only 5-10 minutes from start to finish.

Thanks for posting about club level. It looks more like a continental breakfast you would receive at a Marriott...quite disappointing as far as breakfast is concerned.

Love your BLT room! I agree about MK! It is just amazing. Smile Love the report!

Great report! Love all the photos and the food shots are making me hungry! Bay Lake Tower looks really nice. Are the rooms similar to the Contemporary?

I like that hat you're wearing MrHub!
