I'm sure by now you probably are wondering, "well what DOES she do while at the parks?"

well.. I could spend HOURS (and I have spent hours) sitting on a bench in a high traffic area just watching people. It's fun and entertaining!

Sometimes it's like watching America's Funniest Home Videos (people trip and fall, spill food, say funny things)

Sometimes we play "what not to wear"

Sometimes we play "who needs a bra (or a better bra)" ..and we just.. you know.. find people that arent "supported" well.

Sometimes we play "what is their dialogue?" and I'll take one person and my brother will take the other and we make up a conversation for them.

lol.. we're strange but we always laugh!

That's not that bad. I myself don't watch all the parades...I love Spectromagic, though.

I hate the parades. I don't do well with huge crowds of people. Spread out over the park is okay, but not in a very small space like at the parades. Hubby and I made the mistake of trying to exit MK during the night time parade, not realizing it blocked the entrance. I had a panic attack and started crying. It was horrible. And on top of it, it was my first visit to Disney.

Exiting during the parades is nearly impossible. It's also really frustrating when you don't quite make it in time and you're completely cut off. Of course even if I'm not in the mood for a parade, I like that it pulls all the people out of the lines for the rides.

The same happens the opposite way. One time we went to MK in the afternoon and were soooooooo eager to hit things. We decided to start in Tomorrow Land, but we were on the opposite side of the street due to crowds. Well... right when we were about to cross the parade started and we couldnt cross for the life of us! So we decided to hit Adventure Land instead. But even then it was super tough to get to that as well!

I have avoided this question because of my answer. My secret is....out of everything there is to do in Disney my least favorite thing to do is World Showcase. There I admitted it. I do not hate it (most of the time) but it does bore me.

Hi,

I'm not a huge fan of Jiko: The Cooking Place at Animal Kingdom Lodge. There's very little on the menu that I think I'd like.

Despite appearances, I am a people person, very comfortable in my job as a CSR for the Internal Revenue Service.

I really enjoy the Hall of Presidents (AND The American Adventure). But no one ever wants to go on it with me lol. I love how all the presidents are standing there.. and while one is talking, the others are nodding, or murmuring to each other, agreeing or disagreeing. The attention to every detail is amazing.

Hmmm.. what would MY secret be..
oh.. I dont like fireworks. Like.. ANY fireworks shows. but my companions ALWAYS want to see them! I mean, it's a nice rest and all but I'd rather be doing something else. Ho Hum.. fireworks all look the same to me.

At least Illuminations has regular fire.

I'm with you, sort of. I don't dislike them, I just don't care that much about them. We saw Illuminations when we were there in '09, but for me it was...meh. I'm sorry we wasted time watching it. I read so many rave reviews about that (& Wishes) that I expected it to be A LOT better than it was. But it was just a fireworks show. (IMHO, it was even a little less than that. With all that video stuff and fire.) We didn't sit to watch Wishes either. We used that time to go on rides.

I think the only WDW Parade I've seen is the Electric Light Parade. I have no real desire to see the others (and I think I only love that one for the nostalgia factor).

Other shameful secret - the only stage show I've seen is Indiana Jones. I wouldn't mind checking out some of the others, but my husband really has no interest, and the past couple trips it's just been the two of us.

Been going since 1981 and for some reason I have never been on the Astro Orbiter. I think when I was younger I was maybe a little bit afraid of how high it was. Not sure what my reason is now just never seem to want to ride it.

I finally rode the Astro Orbiter last year during MVMCP and I probably wouldn't have gone on it except my friend insisted. At night there are some pretty amazing views from up there! mickey

Oh, make an exception for the Beauty and the Beast show at DHS. I finally got around to seeing it, and it's one of my favorites!

I'd never been on it until I went to MNSSHP a few years ago--is it just me or is the AstroOribter scarier than Space Mountain..it tilts inward and you feel like you are going to fall..terrifying!!

I had a feeling it was scary! I look up at that ride and say to myself there are just to many other things to do. My oldest daughter is a thrill rider so maybe she can talk me into it.

I honestly cannot remember the ride itself other than the views. Although I do remember it being more intense than the Dumbo ride wink

You should at least once and I'll give you a tip. If you are visiting during the summer, go during the hottest part of the day... it's air conditioned. biggrin Also, if you really aren't pressed for time, you can go into the lobby right after a show starts and just relax and wait for your turn.

Oddly enough, it's actually one of the things I remember quite vividly from my very first trip to Disney many many moons ago. It was the first time I'd seen animatronics like that. Now it depends on the group I'm with... sometimes I see it, sometimes not.

I'm almost afraid to admit mine after scrolling through the thread but here goes...

I'm not that into meet and greets with characters.

I wasn't even into it as a child.

They didn't scare me... it was more like, "Oh look, it's Cinderella. That's cool. What's next?"

That said, I'm perfectly fine with making sure little kids who are with me get their chance to meet characters if they want. And I like to people watch sometimes. You can't help but enjoy it when the kids get excited.

One of my funny Disney moments was when my cousin and I took a three day Disney trip as twenty-somethings. It was the first time either of us had been there since Toon Town had been opened. We were just wandering around not really planning anything and ended up in a line for what we thought was a show. It was a loooong line but it was cool out of the sun and we were tired so we figured what the heck. After a considerable amount of time I started paying attention to my surroundings and listening to the conversations around us.

I finally had to nudge my cousin and whisper to her... "We're in line to meet Mickey Mouse." mickey She wanted to leave but I told her we'd waited this long and by God we were going to meet the Mouse! I wonder whatever happened to that photo they took with my camera?
